Where did the story of the Easter Bunny come from? What does Easter, the Day on which Jesus was raised from the dead that Christians celebrate every year with great joy, have to do with a rabbit that brings joy to children?Did it ever occur to you that there might have been a family of rabbits in the Garden outside Jerusalem where Jesus was laid in the tomb on that sad, amazing day we call Good Friday? Well, if there were rabbits in that garden, maybe one of them saw the Risen Lord even before the faithful women went to the tomb and encountered the Angel telling the news of His Resurrection.Maybe she was a little bunny named Rebekah, who was curious about the strange rumbling she felt early, early that Sunday morning, and the beautiful light that came with the dawn, so out she hopped into the garden, all alone, while her brothers and sisters slept. And there she met the most wonderful person in the world - and somehow she knew Him and He knew her!!And then maybe that little bunny was able to say something without words to those women - and they included her in their story to the others. But then, over the centuries, the part about the rabbit and the first Easter day got forgotten mostly.Fantasy can be a wonderful way to connect with the truths taught by the Christian faith. Based on the Gospel of Matthew, "The Tale of Rebekah Rabbit" is for children and adults with a heart for what may have happened if, as old legends tell us, animals can talk among themselves and, like humans, can recognize the voice of their Maker!

The language of symbolism conveys essential teachings which help a person to understand the meaning of life as well as the foundational and sacred principles which underlie an otherwise seemingly deadend materialistic reality.- Virginia Gray Henry, Director, Fons Vitae Publishing

An American Son is an allegorical tale of the boy next door. He could be you, your son, father, brother and daughter. He is a composite of the fiber that makes America great. He represents what we have and what we have lost. He is the spirit of those that returned and those that did not. He is our hopes and dreams. He is what makes America richer with his life and poorer with his death. An American Son is the thread from which America is woven: from Bunker Hill to Iraq and Afghanisthan. If you served this great country and returned, I salute you. If you served and did not, I honor you in the only way I know.May God Bless our American sons and daughters,Tom Oathout

After two years of working, Abdallah wanted to have a better future. He applied to and was accepted by the American University of Beirut (AUB) as a full time student. While walking on campus, Abdallah spotted Laila's sister Najwa who also was a student at the university. He asked her about Laila. Najwa said, Laila is still in London and she asked about you. Abdallah told her to please say hello to her for me. Six months later, Abdallah asked Najwa about Laila. She said well, Laila is back home in Beirut now. Abdallah said, hopefully she and I will cross paths again. A week later, on June 15, 1958, Abdallah saw a pretty young lady sitting on a bench under the Banyan tree. He approached her reluctantly and asked if she were Laila. This book is a loving guide for those leaving the homosexual lifestyle, especially younger generations, seeking peace and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. It aims to lead them into a relationship with Jesus and the truth of God's word, safeguarding them from false beliefs. It acknowledges an adversary seeking to distort humanity and emphasizes that God doesn't hate anyone but finds sin destructive. Sin divides us from each other and from God, causing inner turmoil and physical tolls. Finding identity and purpose lies in Christ. Repentance brings restoration; seeking God wholeheartedly involves attention, constant prayer, and trusting God with your life today, knowing tomorrow is uncertain.

Grisha' s Loop -My Slavic Saga: From the Bolshevik Revolution to America -A story of Courage and Survival is based on Gregoire Ivanovich Samoylenko's unfinished autobiography, My Slavic Saga, which he wrote in the early 1930's with the help of his friend, Arthur Cornwall Knapp. This is the story of Gregory's childhood, and subsequent involvement in the Russian Revolution as a soldier in the Tsar's army. He is forced to abandon his engineering studies at Petrograd University when he is conscripted into military service to defend his country. He experiences a nomadic journey through Russia and the Black Sea witnessing the horrific ravages of war and individual abuse. The boy grows into a man, never forgetting the extended family who raised him.Love, loss, intrigue, and danger beset Gregory's path. Eventually he escapes to America, settles in Boston, marries, and raises a family. Yet, his haunting nightmares compel him to record his thoughts and feelings in an effort to lessen the terrifying memories of his past. Marsha Samoylenko Denison, Gregory's daughter, extends her Ukrainian father's epic journey further through the prism of her own personal recollections. In so doing, she preserves treasured memories for future generations.

Today, the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ still lacks a clear and concise understanding of the right and the proper relationship between Grace and Truth [or, in other words, Law and Gospel.] In this trilogy [Redemption in Christ, Believer's Sanctification, and Justification by Faith], I am going to attempt to bridge the gap between Law and Gospel in order to bring clarity to the message of the Grace of Christ. My prayer is that the Spirit of Christ will rest upon me to help me rightly divide the Word of truth, in order to clear up any confusion or misconceptions believers may have about this Pauline gospel. In these three books, I explain Biblical Redemptions [Salvation] and the Sanctification of all believers. I will contrast the gift from the fruit, and show how the fruit verifies the gift. No fruit, no gift! The fruit is the proof of the gift; the gift is what brings forth the fruit. God help us! May His Grace be with me in this endeavor! If you truly want to know what Paul had in mind when he wrote his gospel, these three books are for you. In this first book of the series, we will be presenting the true biblical gospel and defining some specific words in the scriptures that will help us better understand the revelation of the mystery of Jesus Christ and him crucified (his death on the Cross, and his subsequent resurrection). Redemption is the message of the Cross, which is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We will discuss words like substitution, identification, imputation, reckon, propitiation, justification, expiation, and righteousness. I will also elaborate on the Divine Exchange, reconciliation, restoration, resurrection, the blood of Jesus Christ, and the importance of the Cross in our salvation.

Discover eight ways that an understanding of God's reasons for trials might lead us to the right response!"Your book is written from an honest and sincere heart which reflects the "token of grace" you are to so many people because of the trials you have had in your life and how God has brought you through them. We know as believers that God will use us to minister to others who face those same trials in the future because we have "lived it" and came through as "gold" due to God's refining." Flying his Harrier, Major Dar Fantin stares into the North Carolina night sky with skepticism. Stopping in mid-flight is impossible at thirty-eight thousand feet, but that's exactly what an orange ball of light was doing. That was one of the last thoughts Dar had as he was sucked aboard the Nanta. Held captive, along with twenty-three other fighter pilots from around the world, he is assigned a guide. Littia educates her charge, imparting the language and historical background of Lantius. The Lantiusians have come to help Earth ward off an assault by the Womongly, a warring race in search of natural resources. Supreme Commander Jicama will provide everything required, including space fighters to carry the fight to the enemy, but the Lantiusians will not personally engage the Womongly. Their religion forbids killing.Dar is elected Commanding Officer of Space Fighter Squadron - One. As the unit's new commander, he leads an attack on the Womongly ship, Dectima, losing several men, but annihilating many of the ill-prepared enemy's Strike Dragons. The squadron doesn't understand why the Womongly are not better fighter pilots but is pleased they are not.A Lantiusian pet, the utapotus, befriends Dar. Through this small ugly animal, he and Littia can "mind talk." Dar's being chosen by the utapotus distresses Littia, as such an event is foretold in Lantuisian religious doctrine. Is Dar The One? If he is, it could mark the end of Lantuisian society. She hides her knowledge from Supreme Commander Jicama, who closely scrutinizes the actions of his guests.

If you truly want to know what Paul had in mind when he wrote his gospel, these three books are for you. In this third book in the series, we will look at the time of the Protestant Reformation under Martin Luther, observing his take on the gospel, and how this affected the Body of Christ and her understanding of Biblical Salvation over the last 500 years. This book will help us differentiate the true biblical gospel from the false gospels. Justification by Faith Alone is the hallmark of our salvation! What does this mean, and how has it been understood by believers over the last five centuries? We will take a look at the sacraments and the Roman priesthood, in contrast to the Protestant Reformers, and explore why they had their differences. We'll also address the subject of eternal security (once saved, always saved). Is it true that we can no longer lose our place in salvation once we claim the gospel as our own? Come join us as we dive into this examination of salvation from a balanced, biblical perspective.

One part "Tuesdays with Morrie", and one part "Like Water for Chocolate," Nana Lena's Kitchen by Amy Ostrower is an inspirational collection of stories and recipes from a Southern Jewish kitchen. These stories read almost like folk tales, fables from a mythic past handed down from generation to generation with love. As an extended family of sisters, daughters, and granddaughters gather to make a Passover meal or prepare the Shivah table, Nana Lena's recipes are dispensed with an equal measure of wisdom-- about life and death, courage and responsibility, family and faith. We see the spirited Lena grow in these pages from a young girl and impetuous bride to a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her story mirrors the larger currents of her times. The daughter of immigrants, Lena Goodman was born on the Fourth of July 1912 in Berkley, Virginia. During her lifetime she saw the Flu Epidemic of 1918, the Great Depression, the Second World War, the invention of indoor plumbing-- even a Jewish boy named Sandy Koufax played Major League Baseball. She continues to live on in these stories, fondly remembered by her granddaughter Amy Ostrower, who is retired from the film and television industry and has taken up residence in Wilmington, North Carolina, a place very much like the Tidewater area where she grew up.Nana Lena's Kitchen is a gem - and a perfect gift for mothers, daughters, bubbies, and best friends.
