The title of this book is Faith, Hope, and Prayer. By faith, we are saved. Faith is the force behind the message that gives Christians the hope of a life through prayer that pleases God. The power of faith comes from trusting in the Jesus Christ as the Son of God. It gives us hope of greatness with God and the unlimited possibilities beyond death. Thus, with faith and hope, we have no need to doubt our decisions or worry about life for all is well. For whatsoever we ask in His name by prayer, there is no need to be afraid. With the gift of faith, it is possible to please God and live in hope of eternal life. The transforming force is prayer encouraged by the Holy Spirit who lives within us. So, have faith, always hope for the best, and pray before others to acknowledge Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross for our sins. The message is clear. Think good thoughts and spend quality time with God in prayer. Our faith, hope, and prayer provide the way to live God's purpose for our existence. Prayer, in particular, keeps the connection open to God for the faith and hope in the Holy Spirit who keeps us moving in God's direction. Prayer is the means of God's guidance, love, and mercy. It makes a difference in what we think, how we relate to others, and our desire to please God. There is power in prayer, hope, and faith that opens the door to eternal life in Heaven.

As you enter the pages of Fil-Osophy/Phool-Osophy, you will find arranged according to subject matter, a few of the author C. B. Skelton, collection of rhymes about serious subjects. His rhymed and metered writings that instruct, exhort, reassure and entertains. FIL-OSOPHY / PHOOL-OSOPHY is another good bathroom with 66 different rhymes, about half funny and half serious. Such musings of ethereal quality that's didactic, rather it contains a subliminal message that leaves you wishing for more, while yet probing for its deeper meaning.

This book of Poetry started by hearing a song that my mother used to sing when I was a child. At some point later, it occurred to me that my mother wasn't singing anymore. It seemed that she had lost her joy and exuberance. I had moved away from my country of birth and was going through my struggles. I had strong Christian faith so I didn't have to go through the pain that she did. I wished I could have been close to her to have said some encouraging words to help her. Failing to do that, the poem was supposed to have been read to her, but that also did not happen. After her death, I figured if she couldn't hear the poem, others could draw some lessons from my writing.

Elaine got the incentive to write a book about her journey with breast cancer when she, as a nurse, realized that not all patients with breast cancer understand the confusing medical terminology that they are faced with as they deal with doctors, nurses and literature about their disease. As a result, she wrote the story of her experience from diagnosis through reconstruction in a language that anyone can understand. In addition, she included a glossary full of terms that most breast cancer patients are faced with along the way. You may laugh with her and cry with her as she shares the intense feelings that pull on your heart strings as one deals with this challenging disease. Another added benefit is to read the chapter, written by her husband, as he explains what a spouse goes through in dealing with a wife with breast cancer. His chapter will help other spouses realize that there are other men who understand their struggles, as they try to be the strong one for their wife. Faith in God is the common denominator that helped both Elaine and her family get through this challenge and come out winners. There is definitely life after breast cancer. She would not let cancer define her but gives the credit to her faith and family. Giving up was never an option.

The experiences I've had in my 70 years is to see very strong ideals going by the wayside in our country. The moral climate is fading into an immoral decay. As I walked these 70 years and had to fight my own battles I've often wondered how others can even cope with some of the things they do, some seem to be having more difficult time in many ways then I have had to experience. In my life, God has opened my eyes to the devastation so many people are having with drugs, sex, and drinking. My own struggle with health issues and spiritual battles as the result of not obeying God's word; when I was five years old. I now can see why God did not want me to do what I did in disobeying him. This took years to understand God was near to me always I just needed to ask and believe.I share many trials in the book and I try to show how a dependence on God's grace and love can get you through the toughest of times.

The Victims of Rivalry is the story of a silenced, vanquished people in a war that was declared: "No Victors, No Vanquished." It is the story of the victims of the Biafran/Nigerian Civil War and its colonial connection. Set in a village in the Ikwerre tribe of southern Nigeria, the story opens with the roaring rage of the villagers, as they struggle to extricate themselves from the colonial stranglehold that had suddenly happened upon them. Initially unaware of the white man's intentions for coming to their village, the villagers opened their arms to the visitor. But when they realize why he had come, their suspicions set in, their anger wells up, and they rise up in revolt, only to be calmed down by their revered, open-minded Chief. However, the white man, a Baptist missionary, has other plans. He decides to approach the uncooperative villagers with caution. In the end, the villagers succumb to his ploy by sending their children en-masse to the white man's newly-built school. Not long after the school opened, a civil war breaks out in Nigeria, severely derailing the progress the village had made in educating its children.
