Many Americans have never heard the name Volodymyr Zelenskyy until very recently. Although Zelenskyy made brief headlines in 2019, in association with a certain scandal, even then, most of the headlines focused on the other party involved, and the name Zelenskyy didn't have much sticking power in the consciousness of U.S. audiences. However, current events have brought a heightened awareness of the man leading Ukraine through the most challenging crisis ever faced by any country. Today, the United States, along with the rest of the world, knows the name Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the comedian whose "joke" presidency became a powerful force for freedom and a global symbol of democracy. FROM ACTOR TO WARTIME PRESIDENT Zelenskyy's unprecedented election came about just three years ago, in 2019, when the actor and comedian proved that life imitates art. He came to the election with zero political experience, though he was already a household name throughout Ukraine due to his long-running, popular comedy television show called Servant of the People, in which he plays a school teacher who is unexpectedly elected president of Ukraine. The vote that followed his candidacy announcement was a record landslide in favor of Zelenskyy, transforming his TV character into a real-life role that many believed he was unprepared to play.

From Elizabeth Stevens, writing as Scarlett Knox comes...An angel and a demon with the power to destroy whole worlds. They say Rune le Rege is a monster among monsters. He is detached and cruel, but he kissed me once like I was the only thing to make his cold, dead heart beat.I would let Rune do anything he wanted to me. I would scream for him. I would bleed for him. He wouldn't even need to ask. He could command it and I wouldn't hesitate. Not that he would, because never in the frozen Hell on Earth I'd found myself would he want me.He might star in my dirtiest dreams, but he's also my new stepbrother.Strix is not. Strix is gorgeous and sinful, and he wants me. So badly it could only be good. But he's not the only one keeping secrets. My new stepfamily. The new town my mum dragged me to. The staff and students of Knightsbridge Academy. Everyone has secrets and they might be the literal death of me. To say nothing of the two men I find myself between. It's not bad boy vs good guy. It's bad boy vs bad boy in the race for my heart. One simply needs to claim it. The other won't rest until he's holding it in his hands. This is a dark, angsty, contemporary paranormal, enemies-to-lovers, stepsibling romance with some bully elements and enough steam to melt your screen. Do not engage in public consumption unless your poker face is impenetrable.Do not read if you don't like vampires, fated mates, alpha stepbrothers claiming what's theirs, a feisty heroine discovering the hidden secrets of her new stepfamily, complicated love triangles full of passion, dirty words, and a little bit of death. This story features the heroine in romantic/sexual situations with two love interests. While not considered cheating by the characters, you may have different feelings. Proceed with caution. This book has an Australia narrator and is therefore written using Australian English. This will affect the spelling, grammar and syntax you may be used to. It might come across as typos, awkward sentences, poor grammar, or missed/wrong words. In the majority of cases (I won't claim it's infallible, despite all best efforts), this is intentional and just an Aussie way of speaking (it took my US beta readers a bit to get used to). I can't say 'the' Aussie way, since we seem to differ even within the same state. Just think of us as a weird mix of British and US vernacular and colloquialisms, but with our own randomness thrown in. I still hope you enjoy it, though!Contains possible triggers.

Until she kisses me and then all bets are off. One taste and I'm too weak to resist. We might be at each other's throats, but she's the only one I'll ever love...to hate.River Torres is freaking gorgeous. He wears confidence like it was made solely for him. Partying, fighting, and wetting his dick in anyone willing. He's the worst kind of idiot.I despise him, but our physical chemistry has been insane for years. As a joke, he calls me Gaol-bait. In return, I dare him to seven minutes in heaven on my eighteenth birthday.Call it morbid curiosity. A drunken lapse in judgement. The biggest - or best - mistake of my life. But I've kissed him and now my body craves more. It needs him and no one else.He might be a total player and an arse, but he's the jerk I will always love...to hate.A darker, big brother's best friend, frenemies to lovers, romantic comedy. This book is set in Australia and therefore written using Australian English. This will affect the spelling, grammar and syntax you may be used to. It might come across as typos, awkward sentences, poor grammar, or missed/wrong words. Since its early teaching activity in 1936, the North Carolina Dental Public Health program has had an outstanding 80-year history that is summarized into five themes. It has served as a key resource for training the dentists in public health, which has benefited the state of North Carolina. It has provided the science base for improving oral health with new prevention technologies. The program has advanced public health practice and collaborations with state and federal agencies, and it has maintained a robust research program that developed methods for solving population-based problems. Finally, it has offered a comprehensive teaching program that supported the knowledge base for the MPH program and research methods for PhD students in epidemiology and health services research. The UNC research focus on early childhood caries reversed the increase observed in statewide surveys, and its prevention methods have been adopted nationally. Rozier also documents the first courses in dental public health which provided definitions and direction for the specialty.Oral diseases are largely preventable, but they affect more than three billion people worldwide. First in the Nation is elegantly convincing in its message?that a major health sciences campus without a comprehensive Dental Public Health academic program is intellectually devoid of part of its purpose for being.

Rabelais revolucionou a estética literária.

One size does not fit all when it comes to education. In modern society, education has been and continues to be shaped, informed, and driven by a so-called "grammar of schooling": an approach which completely ignores the many and diverse identities that learners own, are given, and encounter. Categorising students into neat, labelled boxes, splintering knowledge into strictly defined subjects, and fracturing learning - this grammar of schooling desperately needs rewriting.Through narratives from teachers, students, and their families, this book explores the lived experiences of those who are forced to live with the current approach, and the consequences for their lives, relationship, and education. It also asks the question of what creative and holistic alternative approaches might look like - when the rules aren't working, the rulebook can be rewritten.

Vladimir PutinIntroduction - To EvilJust as the COVID-19 pandemic was coming to an end, everyone beganto take a breath of relief. The world was finally at peace and could returnto normal. This breath was cut short by Vladimir Putin spearheading thecampaign and invasion of Ukraine. This left millions of people, media outlets, and the world dumbstruck. While Putin had always been somewhat ofa political renegade who had the potential for evil, it was still so surprisingwhen such brutality and wickedness occurred. The world was still turningthe corner from a pandemic, not an easy feat. Even in the wake of theinvasion and subsequent war, people still have so many questions.Who is Mr. Vladimir Putin? What are his ultimate goals? Will he stop atUkraine alone, or will he use his military might to try to usurp power allover the world? If so, what if he succeeds? Are we witnessing the genesis ofa worldwide coup d'état? While the answers may be difficult to answer at this point, maybe with abit of exploration, they will reveal themselves. Of course, we cannot simplylook at the present day. If we have any chance of answering these questions,we have to start at the beginning. We have to trace through the life of thisworld leader. It is a big job, but this book takes up the challenge of combing through the life and times of Vladimir Putin and delves into the sequenceof events that formed one of the most tyrannical maniacs the world hasever seen.To help bring some sort of organization to our journey, we have chosento divide the book into four parts, each containing its own collection ofchapters.
