He was not looking forward to leaving his friends and starting a new life in a foreign country. Wilson's father introduced him to an old friend, a noteworthy jeweler in Kingston. This was the beginning of a four-year apprenticeship and a forty-nine-year career. Wilson married a Michigan girl, who he met while they were both attending West Indies College (currently NCU). They lived in New York in the 1970s. The union was blessed with a boy and a girl. They settled in Pennsylvania for thirty-four years, and Wilson established his full service jewelry store between 1982 and 2016. Two of those years, he presided over the town's business community. Wilson retired in 2016. To date, this is Leonard Archie Wilson's second novel. His first novel was entitled A Jamaican Family's Saga.

While teaching at this internationally known school for 10 years, she focused on the development of the jumping and teaching departments. As former Vice-President for the United States Combined Training Association, Jo served on the executive committee from 1987-1989 and the board of governors from 1984-1989. During her tenure, she developed the AHSA-USCTA Combined Training Officials seminars as well as carried out the educational seminars for the general membership including beginning the USCTA Event Colleges. In 1988 she received the USCTA's Governor's Cup Award for outstanding contributions to the sport of Eventing. As an educator, Jo has provided equestrian education to riders and instructors, nationally, since 1975. From 1989 through 2002 she provided an on-going education program for horseback riding instructors focusing on improving their teaching effectiveness. She has also developed a working student program for Shenandoah Farm of Staunton, Virginia on training and breeding, and advised Wetherbee Farm of Boxboro Massachusetts on developing their Fitness by Riding Program. As a rider, competitor and athlete, Jo has trained and competed through the Advanced Level in Eventing and the Prix St. Georges Level in Dressage. She earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medal Rider Awards during the late 1970's. She has also been long listed during the 1980's for The Eventing Olympic Team.

He built towers in the swamps of Louisiana until a tower collapsed with him one hundred feet in the air. After surviving, he decided to work for himself. Boardman moved back to West Virginia where he worked on towers for more than thirty years. He married and had four children. In his spare time, he managed to have a boiler-making career and is a retired boiler-maker. He now lives with his wife and great-granddaughter in a small community in West Virginia. He manages to squeeze a little golf into his retirement.

The second volume covers the trumpeters in the center of the history of jazz. There are the sad stories of those who died too young (Clifford Brown at 25, Ray Wetzel at 27 from automobile accidents; Joe Gordon at 35 from a house fire; Booker Little at 23 from uremia), balanced by the positive stories of those who accomplished much with their lives (Miles Davis invented cool jazz and fusion; Maynard Ferguson took the trumpet to new heights; Lionel Ferbos performed regularly for a couple of years after his hundredth birthday; Clora Bryant and Betty O'Hara showed that women could get the job done on the trumpet). About the AuthorLarry Kemp was born in Los Angeles and spent his preschool years living in Imperial County, California. In elementary school, he moved to Albuquerque, and then to Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, for secondary school. He attended the University of Pittsburgh for seven years and earned his Bachelor's in Classics and a Juris Doctor degree. He was employed for a year at WNUF-FM, the big band station in Millvale, Pennsylvania, and then at WYDD-FM, the Pittsburgh jazz station, for two years. Kemp practiced law in western Pennsylvania for 33 years and retired early because of his annoyance of contracting Parkinson's disease. That freedom from the stress of practicing law enabled him to write this book. He and his wife Virginia moved to Albuquerque to escape the Pittsburgh winters and to live closer to his mother. His adult children, Paul and Carolyn, continue to live in and near Pittsburgh. In Albuquerque, Larry returned to jazz radio and has become the primary host of the program "The House That Jazz Built," on KUNM-FM, a show dedicated to modern, progressive, avant-garde, and free jazz.
