This book explores effectiveness and fairness in higher education admissions policy. It reviews the literatures from the 1940s until the 2010s and provides a theoretical framework. This book provides a clear understanding of quantum mechanics (QM) by developing it from fundamental postulates in an axiomatic manner, as its central theme. The target audience is physics students at master¿s level. It avoids historical developments, which are piecemeal, not logically well knitted, and may lead to misconceptions. This book introduces findings from an international, cross-cultural, and interdisciplinary study of children¿s everyday experiences of growing up and going to school in the context of the three global cities of Hong Kong, Singapore and Melbourne. This book examines the Chinese fictions (xiaoshuo) published between 1898 and 1927 ¿ three pivotal decades, during which China underwent significant social changes. This book presents a view of the current environment of organ donation and transplantation after cardiac death in China, including legal and ethical aspects of cardiac death, assessment and management of potential organ donor, quality evaluation and machine perfusion of organ, as well as immunology, imaging and pathology related to transplantation from cardiac death donors.
