This book presents the proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Frontiers of Intelligent Computing: Theory and Applications (FICTA 2021), held at NIT Mizoram, Aizwal, Mizoram, India, during June 25 - 26, 2021. FICTA conference aims to bring together researchers, scientists, engineers, and practitioners to exchange their new ideas and experiences in the domain of intelligent computing theories with prospective applications to various engineering disciplines. This volume covers broad areas of Intelligent Data Engineering and Analytics. The conference papers included herein presents both theoretical as well as practical aspects of data intensive computing, data mining, big data, knowledge management, intelligent data acquisition and processing from sensors, data communication networks protocols and architectures, etc. The volume will also serve as a knowledge centre for students of post-graduate level in various engineering disciplines. 

Placemaking and cultural landscapes are worldwide multidisciplinary global concerns that cover many points of view of the common impacts of socio-economic cultural and rights jurisprudence planning, wellbeing and related advancements. Concerned with the complex interactions between the development and environment of those factors, it is important to seek ways, paths and implications for framing sustainability in all social activities. This book is mostly based on the 10th ACLA ¿ Asian Cultural Landscape Association International Webinar Symposium that took place during September 26¿27, 2020, in the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. It examines contemporary social¿cultural issues in the context of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs) and associated cultural and sacred landscapes. There, the emphasis is on awakening deeper cultural sensitivity in harmonizing the world and the role of society and spiritual systems, drawing upon multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural interfaces¿all within the scope of the future of the earth. The book¿s chapters add a new dimension of cultural understanding in the broad domain of emerging human geoscience, considered as key policy science for contributing towards sustainability and survivability science together with future earth initiatives.

It examines the beliefs and perceptions that shape translanguaging in different public spaces and interrogates the notion of translanguaging through the lens of various Philippine public spaces. This book also focuses on the breakthroughs that may be achieved through translanguaging in the academic field and other domains. It presents studies conducted in the Philippines, a multilingual and post-colonial setting where many multilingual speakers engage in translanguaging practices while recognizing the significance of each language in their communication repertoire in expressing their ideas and identities. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 18th National Conference on Man-Machine Speech Communication, NCMMSC 2023, held in Suzhou, China, during December 8¿11, 2023.The 20 full papers and 11 short papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 117 submissions.
