This book examines the management of multiple goals in organizations especially in today's increasingly turbulent business environment. In this book, authors develop a novel concept of goal polychronicity, wherein organizations may attend to multiple goals simultaneously, rather than mono-chronically through sequential attention. This book offers an exploration of the postcolonial hybrid experience in anglophone Caribbean plays and performance from a feminist perspective.In a hitherto unattempted consideration of Caribbean theatre and performance, this study of gendered identities chronicles the postcolonial hybrid experience - and how it varies in the context of questions of sex, performance and social designation. In the process, it examines the diverse performances of the anglophone Caribbean. The work includes works by Caribbean anglophone playwrights like Derek Walcott, Mustapha Matura, Michael Gikes, Dennis Scott, Trevor Rhone, Earl Lovelace and Errol John with more recent works of Pat Cumper, Rawle Gibbons and Tony Hall. Network Function Virtualization (NFV) has recently attracted considerable attention from both research and industrial communities. Numerous papers have been published regarding solving the resource- allocation problems in NFV, from various perspectives, considering different constraints, and adopting a range of techniques. However, it is difficult to get a clear impression of how to understand and classify different kinds of resource allocation problems in NFV and how to design solutions to solve these problems efficiently.This book addresses these concerns by offering a comprehensive overview and explanation of different resource allocation problems in NFV and presenting efficient solutions to solve them. In a context in which explicit attention to the curriculum has been sidelined in universities' strategy, this book makes an argument for why curriculum matters, both in understanding the effects of unbundled online learning and more broadly. It takes up two particular curriculum issues which are amplified in an unbundled context: differences in the formulation of curriculum between disciplines and professional fields, and the extent these are recognised in university strategy; and the push for constructivist pedagogies, and its effects on curriculum construction. Since the onslaught of MOOCs in 2012, unbundled forms of online learning offered via partnerships with external online program management and MOOC providers have grown significantly across the university sector. There has been much debate about the implications of these partnerships but the focus has predominantly been on the engagement of students and their learning. This book takes a different and novel approach, looking instead at the effects on curriculum and knowledge.Drawing on selected case studies, the book reflects on how university leaders and academics engaged with MOOCs and other forms of unbundled online learning in the early 2010s, and the effects of these reforms on curriculum practice. This book explores stakeholders' perspectives, their practices, and engagement with enacting the employability agenda in the context of a rapidly changing world. This edited book empirically discusses stratification in contemporary Japanese society. It is unique for its examination of social inequality in relation to declining fertility and an aging population. Japan is the most aged society in the world: according to the Statistics Bureau of Japan, people who are aged 65 and above comprised 29.1% of the country's total population in 2021. Meanwhile, the fertility rate has continuously declined since the mid-1970s. Japan experienced a dramatic change in its demographic structure in a short period of time. Such fast change could be a major factor that generated social stratification. In her industrialization, Japan was thought to share a pattern of social stratification similar to that of developed European and North American countries but with a low degree of socio-economic inequality and a high degree of homogeneity. There is no clear support for this description of Japan, although the country does share a pattern and degree of social stratification similar to that observed in Europe and North America. The social stratification theory has been developed in close relationship to the labor market; however, it is necessary to further examine the social stratification of very aged societies in which a substantial number of the population-namely, retired persons-no longer have any ties to the labor market. In this book, the contributors explore the pattern of social stratification at three life stages: young, middle-aged, and elderly. Included are discussions of various aspects of stratification such as education, work, wealth, marriage, family, gender, generation, and social attitudes.

This book provides recent development in thin-film solar cells (TFSC). TFSC have proven the promising approach for terrestrial and space photovoltaics. TFSC have the potential to change the device design and produce high efficiency devices on rigid/flexible substrates with significantly low manufacturing cost. Differential geometry is essential to understand the linearization problems of the control nonlinear systems. In this book, the basics of differential geometry needed in linearization are explained on the Euclidean space instead of the manifold for students who are not accustomed to differential geometry. Many Lie algebra formulas, used often in linearization, are also provided with proof. The conditions in the linearization problems are complicated to check because the Lie bracket calculation of vector fields by hand needs much concentration and time. This book summary introduces the key research findings, exploration and excavation works carried out during the 80 years of archaeological endeavours entirely devoted to Liangzhu historical sites. Xingeng SHI first discovered of neolithic remains in 1936, followed along with designation of official name which was given by Nai XIA in 1959. Another perspective also indicates finding of several pieces of black pottery at the Qipanfen historical site in the year 1936 till the latest over 1200 pieces of jades unearthed in Fanshan cemetery in the year 1986. A brief timeline history as listed above has been demonstrated that the great efforts and sacrifices had made by earlier generations of archaeologist in Liangzhu as witness to explore the origin of the 5000 years of Chinese civilization. The public is more familiar with Fanshan cemetery and Liangzhu ancient city as well as precious cultural relics such as jade Cong and jade Yue. Through the 80 years of archaeological ruins of Liangzhu field works that performed, in fact, there are existing historical monuments for example as places of Zhucundou and Wujiabu and ordinary objects include pottery and stoneware, they remain unknown to the general public. This book offers the readers a unique perspective, is the first research to focus on the Liangzhu Archaeological Team members' viewpoint of exploring the perceived value of an extraordinary experience and compare it with an ordinary experience behind the 80 years of archaeology of the Liangzhu site.
