The story mainly concentrates on China's attitude towards Human Rights and that country's lack of respect for life generally. The book covers what happened in the Hong Kong riots and the manipulation by authorities to ensure they could crush any resistance without the implication of using heavy-handed tactics or that they lacked concern for Human Rights. It covers the mental scars that many were left with after being forced to flee Hong Kong to ensure they were not locked up in jail for life on false or illegitimate charges, and the ramifications their actions had on their families, left behind in mainland China. It describes the lengths the authorities would go to eliminate religion in China and God's infliction of curses on China's people as a punishment for their lack of faith in Him. It raises human rights issues in China, and the attempts made to replace the worship of God with the worship of those in authority, who believe they are Gods. Many who protested in Hong Kong had to flee that country, to prevent being persecuted by the authorities. Their actions, unfortunately, had dramatic repercussions for their families left behind in China. Many ended up with depression and the book tries to address this topic from both medical and religious points of view. The religious doctrines covered in the book are depression and the act of killing or taking a life, especially during wars. The book covers China's buildup of its military strength its invasion of countries in the Pacific and Taiwan and its control of the Pacific Region. It concludes with China being taken to the International Human Rights Commission and God finally resolving the conflict between himself and those that would be God, making it clear who has the power and who is really in control.

While not presented as a formal textbook-at times a relaxed, conversational style emerges-Scratches on the Rock Face sets out to describe the major themes of Old Testament Scripture from Genesis to Malachi, scanning its History, Prophecy, and Poetry. In so doing, it reveals how these ancient texts may paint the portrait of 'The Word' who becomes known as Jesus, Redeemer, Lord! The "Picture Parables" provide a unique way of allowing the Scripture to be as up-to-date as today's press releases! Though placed in the nuances of ancient literature, one picture remains as powerful as a thousand words! There are astounding surprises awaiting the reader. Be ready for a shock when discovering the most ancient form of the last letter in the Hebrew alphabet! It is enough to warrant the author taking up the challenge to paint these "Picture Parables". The ANCIENT and the MODERN parables find a happy blending and balance as each subject is presented in sizeable portions. This makes it possible for Scratches on the Rock Face to also be utilised as a handy aid to enrich our knowledge of the Bible.

In the beginning... is presented as an invitation to set out on a journey that offers astounding discoveries. Hidden treasures will be unearthed from beneath the time-worn tracks of those who have trekked in centuries past through the vistas of Genesis-the introductory book to the Bible.Do not expect an intricate, theological treatise shaped to meet the requirements of the experts in the field. These gems are offered to the lay-reader who finds an interest in searching out Biblical truths not easily encountered in a superficial scan of the records. This book sets out to provide-in an authentic, attractive style featuring "Picture Parables"-some feasible explanations regarding what really happened in the Beginning...What is the nature of the gems? A gem is assessed by three basic principles: 1. It is exquisite 2. It is rare 3. It is useful. When all three aspects are apparent, the gem is valued to be of highest worth. There is the rainbow range of the "ruby", "jasper", "topaz", "emerald", "turquoise", "sapphire", amethyst", and many more amazing truths that are hidden away in Genesis and each discovery is worth the "dig"!Bible students will be amazed at how a word-at times found in its most ancient form-can explain the unbelievable, expose the unexplored, and enable the acknowledgement of its true worth. All who become engaged in the search will be enriched by digging beneath the surface of the soil. Pick up your spade!

A BREAKTHRU HISTORICAL NOVEL THAT BRINGS NEW DEPTH AND INSIGHT INTO THE LIFE OF THE MAN WHO IS ABOUT TO TRANSFORM THE WORLD INTO THE PARADISE MAN HAS FAILED TO EVEN COME CLOSE TO ACHIEVING.As this is a book about Jesus, most of us will already have a pretty good idea about what we think and feel on this subject. Our knowledge may come simply from what we have heard or read as we pass through a society that is filled with information about him, or we may have studied the bible in depth. Most of us will be somewhere in between, but all of us will have a feeling we know about him.In truth, even if we have a scholar's knowledge of the bible it will be unique. Even among Christians, each and every one of the billions of Christians will have a different sum of understanding about God and Jesus. This is the nature of human life.MY LIFE is written so that if you knew nothing about Jesus Christ when you started, by the end you would know the heart of the bible, you would know all you need to know.

While working women have achieved much, the issues of the right to work, equal opportunities and rewards, healthy work environment, unionisation and, in particular, the problems of 'the double working life' are still very much alive. In Women at Work Kaye Hargreaves examines the crucial issues, many of them forcefully articulated in workers' own lively accounts. She shows that the dramatically increased participation of women in Australia 's paid workforce constitutes a major challenge to organisation in the workplace and to traditional attitudes about women's role in the society at large. The difficulties in the relationship between women's movement and the labour movement will be resolved only as women workers develop new forms of organisation which reach beyond the conventional confines of unionism to change fundamental social relationships. Women at Work also documents the emergence of this process during the past decade and points to directions for its further development.

Living in Fear is a reminder of the threat to democracy posed by the current rise in extreme right-wing politicians and political parties in the Western World. July 22, 2022, the Spanish Parliament approved a new Historic Memory law that, among other measures, declared Franco's government illegal, nullified the rulings of the dictatorship's courts and made the government responsible for recovering the bodies of the hundreds of thousands of people killed during the civil war and the subsequent dictatorship.85 years after Franco's death, it appeared that justice would finally come to all Spaniards, without revenge or reprisals. It might not be so, as the recent July 24 2023 national elections saw an active rise in the number of extreme right-wing members of Parliament. A wave of great unrest and fear is again sweeping the country.Living in Fear, the single volume updated edition of Damnatio Memoriae, is directed at drawing readers' attention to the Francoist genocide of Spain, the pre-WWII human catastrophe that served as a testing ground for Hitler's forthcoming holocaust.

This book exploring the generational ties of a family across generations: various narrators tell their struggles with humour, comedy, and tragedy, where traditional storytelling, asserts the eternity of the soul as zero time.Because the soul is everlasting and reincarnates, every child is a reincarnated ancestor that returns from the eternal to the physical plane. The soul in the body is manifested from spiritual to physical being that is made flesh. It echoes the traditional black Zeitgeist that black people do not die, along the lines: "ln principio erat Verbum et Deus erat Verbum". In the ancient Aboriginal Dreaming stories all living things had a human spirit and could communicate with each other, interact with their Mother Earth and Father sky, their creator. There were rules set by the father and creator so that the children of Mother earth would live in peace. However. When rules are not adhered to conflict inevitably happens. This particular encounter is based on a real Dreaming story told by the old people in far western New South Wales. It shines a light on the reason why this particular group of Aboriginal people will not go out in the dark on their own.Woven into this story is a question of what happens when the old and the new Australian cultures meet. Escape Into Dreaming is an attempt to tell the story to children in the hope that they will better understand the spirituality of our first nation's people.

Based on a true storyThe Overlanders is a bittersweet, sometimes comical look at the lives and loves in the world of a droving team in the Australian Outback. Their trials and tribulations and the hardships they endured in the harsh desert country they inhabited. The dangers they faced from their enemies and elements alike. It also tells the story of the women they left behind time and time again to fend for themselves. Sometimes for months on end.Faced with the task of delivering cattle, sometimes hundreds of head, from point A to point B, sometimes hundreds of miles, the mighty drovers are a mostly unsung hero. In all weathers they pushed the cattle through. In searing heat and freezing cold, through drought and flooding rains they delivered the meat to feed a nation.Tom was one such a hero, though he would get a good laugh at hearing that said about him. He was a drive boss, and it was on his shoulders, rested the responsibility of delivering live and healthy livestock through the harshest conditions to their destination. It is a myth that these men enjoyed a laid-back stress-free occupation. Yet by the same token they would never entertain the idea of doing anything else.It was on a shortcut through Devils Canyon that Tom decided to take to save time and money that these men met a most harrowing and horrific foe. It would change their lives forever, and to this day these men are loathe to speak of it.A foe, so much more than the usual perils they faced as they drove stock across mountain and plain, through deserts and scrub and forests. Much more threatening than the constant search for water and pasture and the threat from rustlers. A foe so confronting that it made these men consider staying at home. Some happenings are so terrible that they have the power to bind people together in the strongest of bonds. These men came through their ordeal stronger but changed.

The purpose of the book is to take this contrast seriously, and not only to accept the task of seeing what is at stake as we enter upon a new future, but also to face up to the challenge flowing from what this reveals: Can We Do It?
