Christmas Shows with the Troops with my family, since I was about 4 years old. I enjoyed watching the Troops in the audience laughing, having a good time, getting together. The Troops were my Heroes, my Stars. I thought that maybe when I grew up; that one day, I would be in the audience of one of Bobs Christmas Shows. It was inspirational for me to see and hear the people singing Silent Night together at the end of the Show. The Memories Are Priceless!Like we still talk about Remember The Alamo, I think we should say,Remember The Bob Hope Christmas Show, because it was important. It brought us together!I thank my Lord, Jesus Christ, for helping me get to The Bob Hope Christmas Show and in writing this book. Isaiah's day off school promises nice weather, so he chooses to gofishing and ends up on an incredible adventure with a very happy ending. It was a day off from school. A day where anything could happen. Isaiah sat on the side of his bed wondering how it might turn out,realizing that it would all depend on the weather. Best to go check. The skies looked bright and clear, which made him think that instead of a lazy day watching videos or playing some old video game he'd alreadybeaten a bunch of times, he might get to do something he enjoyed morethan anything else. He hopped off his bed and went to his closet. Opening it up he grabbed the main thing hed need to have a great day. His fishing pole!Now, happy he'd decided how he was going to spend his day, it wastime to go grab some breakfast . Gotta fill up and make sure I have themost time for fishing, he thought. In the kitchen he saw his littlesister, Jaelyn, just staring at her cereal. She was normally singingthe latest commercial jingle from the TV or chattering merrily aboutanything and everything. This morning she was very quiet. Isaiahgrabbed a bowl from the cupboard, threw in some cereal, and splashed insome milk. In between mouthfuls he asked his sister what was up. Shetook so long to answer he knew it must be very serious. She told him,sniffling sadly, that she'd lost her three-wheeler. Wow, he thought,she loves that thing! Not wanting to hold up his trip too much, hepromised to help look for it later that day and raced out into themorning. "e;You be careful, take something to eat, and take a jacket justin case!"e; hollered his Mom as he grabbed his bike. "e;I will Mom"e;, hehollered back as he adjusted his backpack, balanced his fishing pole inone hand, and climbed aboard his bike. Bryan Webster started out his 10,000+ hour flying career by taking a ride in a two-seat single engine Cessna 150 and ending up inverted in the silty Fraser River beneath a large unmarked power line span east of Vancouver, BC, Canada. This experience left a lasting impression which 25 years later was the foundation for a new training concept for pilots of light aircraft, Aviation Egress Systems. (More at www.dunkyou.com). During Bryan's many years as a pilot he witnessed other aviators in the industry and recreational flyers with no predetermined escape strategy succumb needlessly to drowning while unable to egress from an inverted aircraft forced to ditch in water. Understanding personally the perils of egressing from a ditched aircraft he designed and built equipment to be used in aquatic centers simulating the challenges of disorientation and panic. After witnessing thousands of students in a controlled situation, many of which who had great difficulty coping with the inverted underwater experience he felt compelled to document behavioural strategies in a book form to reach the flying public and educate them on the importance of this not well documented subject. This books content teaches pilots and passengers what to think about and how to react to successfully escape from a downed aircraft and then survive the after effects regarding life vests, life rafts and hypothermia. We need nothing less than a new ideological framework along with some well placed investment dollars to generate a sense of hope, and with hope all things are possible. Use An Ideology of Common Sense along with Economic Incentives to sell a Vision of Hope - a Vision of Peace, Prosperity, and Freedom - on the Arab street, in the Muslim World, and in the world as a whole. Speak to one another with common sense, and with a sense of personal dignity. Put some serious money on the table, and give everyone on earth a place at the table, a stake in his or her future. Make the "e;global economy"e; truly global. Use the motto: "e;We stand ready to invest in you, if you are ready to invest in yourselves."e; Invest in projects which resonate with hope, which create jobs, which protect the environment, and which allow people to become who they want to become, even if they want to become different from you. Create facts on the ground which speak louder than words. Marginalize the extremists on all sides by co-opting their strategy - by doing what they do, only better - and by putting them in the uncomfortable and untenable position of holding their people back from a better life. If the West is good at anything, it is making and investing money. Why not use this strength as part of our strategic arsenal to promote the peace, and to win the war against ideological extremism? And when the need arises, fight on the ground, and fight hard, but position the fight within a Vision of Hope. Raise the fight on the ground to a higher moral plain, and sustain the fight by giving it a moral clarity of purpose. If all this sounds a bit over the top, it probably is. But this may well be the time, before time runs out, to dream the impossible, and to make the impossible come true.
