This book reunites the most part of the essays and articles produced between 2007 and 2015 by poet and artist Alessandro De Francesco. It shows what De Francesco himself affirms at a point in the last text of the book: that an artist can also be a theorist, and that artistic practice and theoretical practice are difficult to distinguish in his work. This book is multilingual: each text was left in the language in which it was written. Therefore, it is predominantly in French, but Italian, English and German are also represented. In spite of poetry being at the center of Alessandro De Francesco''s interests as a thinker, the texts contained in this book are very heterogeneous: poetic statements, essays, scientific articles, lectures, interviews; and yet they also show a deep continuity. Continuum stands for the author''s uninterrupted commitment for poetry, for the numerous connections among the approached themes, and especially for the innovatory theoretical and political positions expressed here, from which all these writings originated.

David J. Melnick published the first book of Men in Aida, a homophonic, but also homoeroticized translation of Homer’s epic Iliad, in December 1983 in an edition of 450 at Tuumba Press. After appearing in many guises and fragments, Book Two was published online in 2002 as part of the Eclipse Archive. Book Three appears for the first time in the present publication, which brings together all three books of one of the most important American avant-garde poems. According to Sean Gurd, who wrote the introduction to this unified edition: “The labor of more than 20 years, Men in Aïda filters the sound of Homer’s Iliad through the words and phraseology of English. Far more than an exercise in homophonic translation, David J. Melnick’s epoch-marking poem packs thousands of years of linguistic history into three riotous books.”

Filial Arcade & Other Poems is a book of poetry; a fusion of images and memories of a family, trees, piety, love, the sea, dying, animal life, video tapes, forests. The book is prefaced with images by Marco Mazzi.

"Ask not for whom the bell tolls... Eulogy: one of the many English words combining legein (to gather together) and logos (the word, the law). With eulogy though the speech-act itself is all important (eu-) and its impossibility evident in a written work. The site of the gathering together of words, of scattered sounds, disappears in the act of writing, itself scatter -- all too forcefully underlining the cause, the event of dispersion that creates the need for gathering together. Jeremy FernandoΓÇÖs eulogy, this particular eulogy, is called Writing Death, and it reminds us that eulogy in its impossibility may well be the primary genre of writing. Writing and death have always gone together, hence PlatoΓÇÖs suspicions of chirographic technologies. The author is absent, as is the subject. The text brooks no questions and gives no answers. FernandoΓÇÖs gathering of scatterings in the form of mini-meditations unfolds the weaving of textus that makes writing possible and makes death comprehensible in all of its paradoxical mystery and awe-ful presence. Poetry Vocare is the first collection of poetry published by young American poet A. Staley Groves. A dense fabric of resemblances and reflections, this work engages with Wallace Stevens, Ossip Mandelstam, and Emily Dickinson. In addition to poems Staley Groves gives a supplement of prose, a short essay titled ΓÇ£Affirmation of Instruction.ΓÇ¥ Poetry scholar Judith Balso wrote a foreword in French to the work.
