A boxing enigma and arguably the most successful athlete in Africa's sports history, Dick Tiger was a beacon of hope and inspiration in the defining moments of Nigeria's history. With a toughness hewn from his childhood in the rustic backwoods of Southeastern Nigeria he was able to transform his life through boxing, and transcended boxing by his activism seeking justice and equity for the oppressed in his homeland. He epitomized grace and strength of character in overcoming challenges, and although his stellar career and life had been compromised by his activism, his name and legacy remain synonymous with integrity and self-actualization.In this book history is brought back to life! Relive the fascinating course of Nigeria's bold efforts in hosting the first ever world championship event in Africa; and examine Dick Tiger's personal thoughts about the epic match in Ibadan and his involvement in the Biafra war. How did Tiger really feel about the Biafra war? Why was the match postponed so many times? Were the rain doctors hired by the Nigerian government effective? Read this epochal story to find answers to these questions and more! Battle cries, rain gods, mobs and protests, angst and exhilaration, and vivid photographs, all make this book gripping and enlightening; a must-read.

Percy stopped and stared at M.C. "Don't you realize anything, M.C., unless it is told to you? Do you ever try to figure things out? I mean really figure things out? We are practically at the coast, right? I mean all we need is a boat to get to Genesis. But these people in all of their simplicity are not the least bit interested in getting to Genesis. Have you wondered why? Maybe it is not what we think it is. Maybe we are all crazy. Yes, I burned the pecan grove and the barn...I think I set it on fire for all of the simpleminded people in the world who do nothing but let life just happen. But do you want to know something? I am glad I did it. Let them do something worthwhile...instead of sitting around in that miserable town drinking and smoking themselves into an early grave. They deserved it!" Percy finished and his eyes were red with passion. Most people would not consider it an "adventure" to have your rights and privileges taken from you in a country where democracy is cherished. Yet in this exciting and thought-provoking book, that is exactly what happens and brave citizens run from current lifestyle to obtain the freedoms they so desperately desire. The Music Room is a tale of a desperate race against time, against laws and the dangers that accompany them.

When I decided to write another book for Scarlett, my brother's granddaughter, it had to be about her new favorite, the Giraffe. I knew little about them, so I had to research them. I knew my book had to have a lesson in trust taught to Aezia's baby. I planned at first that I, as an artist, I would illustrate the book. I soon realized that, I would find the giraffe and the story very difficult. Then I remembered my dear friend and brother, Gary Love, who I knew could do a fantastic job. So I called him and happily he agreed to create draft illustrations using his experience with computer graphics. Being computer illiterate, I spent months with my brother drafting pictures to match my story line. Finally, it all came together and we are both very happy with the results. After many years of acting, Carole finally listened to others and decided to start writing. At age 79 she began by writing a four-book novel about women in early American history. Her next book, 'It's Ally's Turn' came as a surprise to her as it was a book for children. Now at 90, Carole, has finished 'Saving Alezia's Baby' and completed several other science fiction books she had in mind, a startling adult adventure named 'A Bartender's Holiday' and a space audacy named 'The New Planet'. Currently, she is finishing her autobiography, 'Tale ofa Cockeyed Optimist'.Her brother, Gary, is a retired scientist with many technical pubications. At 79, this is his first children's book collaborating with Carole. He revised and simplified her story and prepared drafts of all ilustrations for completion by a professional artist.

The Dalai Lama has given many talks about peace and how we all contribute to world peace. He says "The world doesn't belong to just leaders; the world belongs to all humanity." He argues that global peace comes through meditation which can only be achieved through bringing the individual body into balance, the vibrational energy of the entire inner being. We cannot alter our surroundings which hold the peace until we have this balance and peace within us. The channeled information in this book gives insight into the power within us, the power of our local region and how we balance our body, mind, spirit and the world around us. It shows how to use meditation, food, colors, nature and social settings to achieve this balance. Once you gain inner balance, these tools help balance everything around you. The key to begin is Live Local, Live Simple. This is the first step.

Within & Beyond, The Connection takes complex concepts that have been around for many years, explaining how the earth and the universe are connected, pulling the magnetic energy up from the Earth and the electrical energy down from the Universe. This merger flows into each cell forming a star tetrahedron providing the wisdom of life for each of us. This channeled information defines the dimension as -Planes of Reference and Cosmic Life Pattern (CLP) as the internal genetic coding for each individual. As well as the channeled information presented here, Within & Beyond brings us historic quotes such as the one from Bob Frissell book "Nothing in this book is true But its exactly how things are." My analysis is "Everything in this book is true, and its exactly how things have always been".

In this debut novel, a white middle-aged war veteran reflects on his relatives' history as he faces the prospect of reuniting with his estranged family.Grover McKeen feels a great deal of angst over an invitation to visit his father, a man he hasn't spoken to for 30 years. Readers later learn the schism occurred when Grover was recuperating from a head injury received in the Korean War. Although the Marine would eventually regain his sight in one eye, he was totally blind at the time. During his father's visit, Valory, Grover's black nurse, entered the room, and the patient said, "This is the girl I plan to marry." His father responded: "Many her if you must, but know...you will be disowned and disinherited." Now this invitation challenges Grover to decide whether he is ready to offer forgiveness. Crawford works off this pivotal moment to jump back in time and begin the tale of the McKeens, told through the voices of principal characters over successive generations. Patrick McKeen "left Ireland with his wife and two children in 1846 to escape the potato famine and settled near Savannah, Georgia." With a mule and two slaves, he planted 20 acres of cotton, ultimately expanding his farm to 100 acres. After losing his wife and children to malaria, he married Iva McCurry and sired a son, Sean. The McKeens lost everything in the Civil War, and in 1876, 16-year-old Sean left for Florida, where he succeeded in restoring the family to its-former life of privilege. While Crawford's dialogue is often stilted, the assortment of first-person narratives brings the characters to life. And her description of Sherman's occupation of Savannah in 1864 is poignant: "The slaves...they came to liberate were intimidated and terrorized, the fields were stripped of food....The troops slaughtered livestock...and the mansion was plundered for valuables and burned....Gone were the glory days." The second half of the novel takes Grover back to the family's Florida homestead in Ocoee, accompanied by Valory. At this point, his siblings begin to add their voices to the engrossing saga, as the family confronts the past, trying to rebuild what was broken so long ago.

I am presently 85 years old. I retired in 2000 when my wife and I moved to a resort community in Williamsburg, Virginia where we enjoyed golf, tennis, an active social life, and frequent travel. We both read for increased knowledge and recreation. In 2014 I had extensive back surgery that reduced my physical abilities and provided more time for reading and eventually writing. By 2018 we downsized into a home in the Shenandoah Valley nearer our family and we continue reading and participating in our community. My life experience in my working career included spending the first 5 years in computer data processing as a systems engineer and IT manager. I then transitioned into marketing industrial computer systems for a major corporate supplier for another 6 years before getting the entrepreneurial inspiration and spending 10 years founding an independent industrial computer company and acting as CFO while taking the company public. After that company was sold, I became a virtual company supplying industrial computer systems to the government and the private sector. While still operating my individual company I started participating in other new company start-ups and serving on corporate Boards of Directors. So, I have been a technician and engineer, a salesperson, a CFO of a public reporting company, an independent entrepreneur and mentor-Director of private companies and full reporting NYSE corporations. My other life experiences include parenting three great children with my wife of 62 years. This chapter has involved marriages, divorces and the births of six fantastic grandchildren who are now all adults.

At age 16, undernourished and exhaustedfrom political indoctrination, he made a bold attempt to escape across the heavily fortified border to West Germany. He knew that he could not make it on his own-he knew that he could always rely on help coming from above, as he had throughout his young life. He was caught in his first escape attempt, but he continued to look for that help he knew would come-he made it to freedom in his second escape attempt on the same day.The picture on the cover was taken in 1944 after a terrible air bombardment of the city of Hannover, Germany, that destroyed 80% of the city. Spiritual growth does not always happen when one expects it, especially when it stems from deep seeded generational physical and emotional abuse leading to the insidiousness of domestic violence which had become a way of life for many. It is challenging yet fulfilling, when things begin to seemingly unravel when in reality, however in reality, it is in the confusion that growth is evidenced in the midst of what feels and looks likes nothing but chaos, resentment, bitterness and abandonment. When these pieces mysteriously fall into place giving the seeker strength, confidence and a greater appreciation for life and family. The main character in this ethnography is Charley Mae Wells Strong and she is the third of seven siblings. Everyone called her Charlie Mae. Family dynamics presented during her childhood taught her many things some good while others like being able to control her emotions. Very early on Charlie learned to build walls of protection that few could penetrate. Her intelligence, wit and self-determination coupled with an uncanny ability to see facts beyond truth and keep them separate is what propelled her throughout her career. Add to that her ability to hold secrets made her an exemplary employee, a loyal friend but an insufferable sibling.
