Life nowadays is hectic, busy and technical. It is all too easy for believers to become wrapped up in all the "must dos" in our day-to-day lives, and put our spiritual lives on automatic pilot. But there is a danger that exists when we are starved for God's presence, and don't realize it.

From eternity past there were emissaries sent by the One who is eternal to watch over the burgeoning planet Earth and its inhabitants. These watchers were created to serve Him and to do His bidding. However, as with all free will agents who have power, that power has the potential to be corrupted. They took their positions just as God had commanded, then used their abilities to take on human form thereby creating a race referred to in Greek Mythology as the Titans. In Genesis Chapter 6 of the Bible they are referred to as the Nephilim or the earthborn. They opposed the will of their creator and for millennia there have been those tasked with hiding any remnants of the earthborn's existence thereby endeavoring to discount what the Bible states all too clearly. Join Professor Jennings, Professor Drake, Jack McKinney, Lila Harper, Professor Hollingsworth and the rest as they strive to uncover the mysteries of the earthborn hidden by the passage of time waiting to be discovered in... The Canyon Caves.

In 2010, God gave me the goal of my diaconate ministry: to bring peace and joy to all I meet. This book manifests the fruit of my submission to God's will on joy. It describes how we can achieve joy through the soul's three faculties: will to do good, mind to know the truth, and heart to love. The function of the will is to do good, and we desire goodness. When we are co-creators with God to make the world a better place for one person at a time to the best of our abilities, we are joyful in the will, and therefore, are joyful in living. The function of the mind is to know the truth. Since Christ is the Truth, to know God is to know joy: His blessings, righteousness, love, encouragement, perseverance, and faithfulness. Joy in the heart is based on the Law of the Gift of self. In a relationship we receive joy in the heart when we become one with another as in marriage when the two lovers become one. Since God loves us more than we can ever imagine, joy in the heart is to become with one God. He loves us so much that He wants us to be one with Him for all eternity in heaven.Joy is not merely happiness; rather, I contend that it is the realization of supreme happiness. Christ is the only true source of our joy. When we are one with Him and His mission to save souls, we receive joy in the will, mind, and heart. Joy is a choice, and not always an easy one; but as we reflect on it together, I hope it is a choice which you will take with me.

"The Beatitudes: A Journey Home" is framed by the story of The Prodigal Son in the Gospel of Luke (Chapter 15). Readers are encouraged to engage the story by imagining themselves as The Prodigal who, after living a decadent lifestyle and then "hitting bottom", discovered his poverty of spirit and then found himself grieving desperately enough to realize that his only hope was to go home to his father, believing he would be merciful enough to let him become a servant in his home. The Chapters in Kingery's book examine each Beatitude, seeing them as the stages in every journey of faith. The Beatitudes are, in some respects, like an ethical code for living, a recipe for walking in faith. Take this journey of faith.

I began part 1 of this book with a condensed version of my autobiography, to give the reader an understanding of my life experience. These experiences brought about many questions as to why, as an African American, I was so restricted in many ways. I've spent my entire life trying to find the answer. As a child. I would ask adults "Why are we so disliked by White people", and they would just say "It's because you are Colored". To me, that was not a legitimate answer. So, I had to search for legitimate answers for myself, that prioritized the rest of my life. I discovered that it is impossible to understand your current status until you can learn your real history. This valet history will never be taught by your oppressor. We have to take it upon ourselves to conduct our own individual studies and research. Our history is so rich and profound that it must be hiddin from us. For, if and when we discover our true and unique history, can we finally be liberated. This liberation will allow us to look within ourselves to bring out our divine and enate abilities to create, innovate, and produce better than any people, in the history of mankind. Not just for the benefit of African descendants, but for the progression of mankind.
