There are so many different styles of poetry. Most of my poems tell a story in rhyme which deal with social injustices, controversial topics and the challenges that everyday life brings us. Most have powerful endings that will make the reader reflect and think and even question the craziness in our society. Some will make you want to do better like Grab the Good:I think of the trials and smiles of lifeThe turn styles we enter, the profiles we dial. Some are short, some go for miles. It can be fragile and sad or happy and glad.It can turn as we learn, it can burn as we yearn. The ups, the downs, laughter or frowns.Sometimes it's luck, sometimes we're stuck. It's a mystery to find, it grinds at our mindIt complicates, it captivates,It aggravates, it motivates. We laugh, we cry. we quit, we try. Some will crash, some will fly. Some will live, some will die.But we all received the gift of birthTo create our worth on this green earth. This is the second poetry book I have written. The first, Partly Sunny with a Chance of Laughter, Poems that will make you think, wonder, question and smile was written in the same manner as my second. Other published books include: Where Does the Trombone Go, The Sex Ed Questions You Won't Believe Kids Ask and Answered by their teachers and My Students Taught Me How to Teach. So the role of true leadership is to educate the people on the workings of society and their responsibility in it. There are always those who seek to rule over the masses either overtly or subliminally. We know this because God has placed within each of us a moral compass for guidance for self and society. True leaders never seek to be that, they see a cause and speak to it, and if it's a cause that echoes God's will, the people will support it. In the words of an old philosopher: "The Noblest Cause is the Public Good!"
