Freed Bird: Dancing from Flower to Fruit is a journey told through poetry and prose, beginning in heartbreak and ending in a place of solace and love. Together we'll discover that we can accomplish peace if we turn our love inward. We find that when we fill ourselves with love, we will never experience heartbreak to such a devastating extent because love will never be lost again - as it is within us all, and will always remain. Each poem represents a point in the path from hurt to healing.

This little book of short stories is a collection from my life. Beginning with family stories, shared during visits with grandparents, parents and friends from theater days then evolving into more recent tales. Each one is like a snapshot taken from one of my photo albums, which shares a small segment of a bigger story. These were all the ones that caught my attention. I hope you will enjoy reading them.

Mustard Seeds, Modern Parables is a five year collection of short stories. Each story is inspired by the day to day life of an ordinary woman. Melissa covers everything from collapsed sinks to trying to handle a four pound Chihuahua bent on destroying the pet groomers. Her stories, often humorous and always thought provoking, endeavor to show God in the details and point to Christ and how best we can serve Him with our allotted talents and abilities. It is the hope of the writer that these stories nurture a closer walk with Jesus and grow a resilient faith in a turbulent world.

It seems as though I've been around kids all of my life; at least from sixth grade until college, where I helped out in my mother's daycare business. She approached her daycares with a practical and common sense method, which has helped me with my daycare business. (Mrs. Margaret's Daycare).My vision was to present a loving, clean, caring, safe, healthy, learning and fun environment for kids (to be a part of); to help parents, especially first time parents, understand how-to parent their children just like my mom.This vision became clear to me between the ages 33-35 as I worked with and taught kids at my local church in Cambridge, Massachusetts and later at other local churches in other states.I am writing this book at age 71, which is long overdue for me (the author) and you (the parent). My sincere hope is that this book will truly help parents and relieve parents of guilt, from mistakes we have made with our children, and learn to truly enjoy your children over the years.

This book is about the importance and effectiveness of significant human caregivers in modern society, three kinds in particular: parents, teachers, and work-place supervisors. While it is highly possible that anyone reading the book has at one time or another found themselves actively filling one or more of these roles, it is a given that few, if any readers, have not at one time or another been under the direct care or influence of these critically important caregivers in our lives.
