A Chronological History of North-Eastern Voyages of Discovery

James Burney was a Fellow of the Royal Society and experienced naval officer who served on Cook's second and third voyages to the South Seas. In this work, published in 1819, he summarises nine hundred years of European and Russian exploration of the coastline from Northern Europe to North-East Asia.
