Experts of varying caliber have attempted through the years to write the definitive work describing the ""historical Jesus"" to sort out what we can and cannot know for certain about Jesus of Nazareth. This is not one of those. Knowing is difficult and certitude is probably impossible. Instead, A Life Known and Unknown seeks to both know and unknow the Jesus of history and the Christ of faith.
