In "A Modern Love Story," Madeline Scott is a twenty-year-old UCLA student with dreams of becoming an actor. As the confident captain of the Drama Club, she lives by the mantra of staying true to herself, even in the face of adversity-especially from Gia Lopez, UCLA's resident mean girl. Gia's friend group blindly follows her lead, often targeting Madeline. However, Madeline remains unfazed, holding fast to her values of authenticity.
Steven Jones, another UCLA student, reigns as the university's soccer god. Renowned for his unwavering dedication to the sport, Steven embodies the quintessential jock persona. Yet, beneath his athletic exterior lies a hidden facet-one he keeps carefully concealed, for fear of societal judgment. For three years, he has secretly harbored feelings for none other than the captain of the Drama Club, Madeline. However, the potential fallout from pursuing her keeps him at bay, given her less-than-stellar reputation.
When Madeline announces her search for a new apartment, Steven seizes the opportunity to forge a connection with her and, perhaps, find solace from his inner turmoil. But as their lives intersect, will Madeline become Steven's path to happiness, or is he merely deceiving himself?
