There are 20,000 gun deaths per year in the United States. This figure does not take into account all the gun encounters without a fatality. 10 close encounters with guns in a lifetime is not unusual.

Ironically, at these barrel of a gun moments, lives are often reset. Many times, a fast-paced western world slows down, and reflection on the meaning of life takes place, sometimes in an instant. Sometimes for a lifetime if you survive. This instrument of death can change a life, even improve one. Or, it can mean the end.
