An Analysis of Ceará's Sports Policies from 2007 to 2014

The text presents a brief history of sports policies in Brazil, highlighting the recent period of the 2000s, mainly with the creation of the Ministry of Sports and the main government actions that in turn brought several advances in programs and projects, as well as the promotion of more participatory and comprehensive policies regarding access to sports and leisure. Finally, the study brings the implications for the state of Ceará, detailing all the actions in the period from 2007 to 2014, understanding the advances and possibilities, in order to strengthen the state's sports memory and leave a legacy of information for future research and studies in the area.
