Seventeen-year-old Seiva, Ariessy, is a sorceress struggling to keep secrets from her past, which threaten to resurface. Throughout her life, she has been warned to stay away from the Vald, the wolf-shifters upholding laws protecting humanity from supernatural races, afraid she'll discover that she isn't who she thinks she is.
But all Ariessy cares about is that her father is suffering from an unknown illness, and as time passes, sorcery is becoming less effective in healing him. As a Seiva, Ariessy is only allowed to use magic to protect Earth and her non-human inhabitants - she must never reveal her sorcery to humankind. However, that's about to become challenging when she learns she'll be teaching a workshop to human children . . . and working closely with Hale, a handsome human volunteer.
When her nan finds a forbidden spell book, desperate to cure her father, Ariessy is caught between the Seiva authorities and the wolves she's always feared. No one is who they seem and as danger threatens, Ariessy's life hangs in the balance.
