When statues start moving and attacking people, the UN calls for help. Phoebe and her team head for Alabama, but the mission will take witches all over the world...Buddha in Tibet, the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen...and a much bigger challenge they must face. Familiar settings point to familiar enemies, and the witches prepare for battle with a much larger number of witches. Even with Anikka's team joining them, they are outnumbered. As members of her team begin acting in ways that are uncharacteristic of them, Phoebe fears this will be the last mission her team will ever fly together.
