Aureretanga: Groans of the Maoris

First published in 1888, this book lists injustices suffered by the Maori after New Zealand joined the British Empire in 1840. Drawing on a wide variety of official sources, the author argues that the British ignored and flouted the Treaty of Waitangi, and 'dishonoured the name of England'.
