Bartóks Mikrokosmos gehört zu den Meilensteinen der pädagogischen Klavierliteratur - und geht doch weit über ein "klassisches" Unterrichtswerk hinaus. Zudem werden die sechs Bände der 1940 erschienenen Erstausgabe zu drei praktischen Doppel-Bänden zusammengefasst, wodurch Anfängern wie Fortgeschrittenen jeweils ein optimaler Einstieg ermöglicht wird.
