This work shows the evolution of a line of thought that has had in technique an essential methodological thread to approach the reality of our time. It highlights the fact that every society has a way of using its territory and its time. The understanding of this used territory is related to the actions that define the precise functions of the objects that human beings have historically constructed and that are a constituent part of this territory. Geographical objects would not only have a technical content, but also a temporal one: each one would have its own times that take on meaning within the context of the present. The existence of geographical objects is associated with their location. This is what materialises the intentionality of the action or actions that define their function; they will always respond to the needs of the present. The territory used, by expressing the space of the past, conditions the space of the present and this, in turn, participates in the possibilities that will give existence to the space to come. Reflecting on the history of the present is therefore fundamental for Geography.

Cet ouvrage montre l'évolution d'une ligne de pensée qui a trouvé dans la technique un fil conducteur méthodologique essentiel pour aborder la réalité de notre temps. Il met en évidence le fait que chaque société a une manière d'utiliser son territoire et son temps. La compréhension de ce territoire utilisé est liée aux actions qui définissent les fonctions précises des objets que les êtres humains ont historiquement construits et qui sont une partie constitutive de ce territoire. Les objets géographiques n'auraient pas seulement un contenu technique, mais aussi un contenu temporel : chacun d'entre eux aurait ses propres temps qui prennent sens dans le contexte du présent. L'existence des objets géographiques est associée à leur localisation. C'est ce qui matérialise l'intentionnalité de l'action ou des actions qui définissent leur fonction ; ils répondront toujours aux besoins du présent. Le territoire utilisé, en exprimant l'espace du passé, conditionne l'espace du présent et celui-ci, à son tour, participe aux possibilités qui donneront existence à l'espace à venir. La réflexion sur l'histoire du présent est donc fondamentale pour la géographie.

Esta obra mostra a evolução de uma linha de pensamento que teve na técnica um fio metodológico essencial para abordar a realidade do nosso tempo. Destaca o facto de cada sociedade ter uma forma de utilizar o seu território e o seu tempo. A compreensão deste território usado está relacionada com as acções que definem as funções precisas dos objectos que os seres humanos construíram historicamente e que são parte constituinte deste território. Os objectos geográficos não teriam apenas um conteúdo técnico, mas também um conteúdo temporal: cada um deles teria os seus próprios tempos que adquirem significado no contexto do presente. A existência dos objectos geográficos está associada à sua localização. É esta que materializa a intencionalidade da ação ou acções que definem a sua função; responderão sempre às necessidades do presente. O território utilizado, ao exprimir o espaço do passado, condiciona o espaço do presente e este, por sua vez, participa nas possibilidades que darão existência ao espaço vindouro. Refletir sobre a história do presente é, portanto, fundamental para a Geografia.

Questo lavoro mostra l'evoluzione di una linea di pensiero che ha avuto nella tecnica un filo conduttore metodologico essenziale per avvicinarsi alla realtà del nostro tempo. Evidenzia il fatto che ogni società ha un modo di usare il proprio territorio e il proprio tempo. La comprensione di questo territorio utilizzato è legata alle azioni che definiscono le funzioni precise degli oggetti che gli esseri umani hanno storicamente costruito e che sono parte costitutiva di questo territorio. Gli oggetti geografici non avrebbero solo un contenuto tecnico, ma anche temporale: ognuno avrebbe i suoi tempi che assumono significato nel contesto del presente. L'esistenza degli oggetti geografici è associata alla loro posizione. È questo che materializza l'intenzionalità dell'azione o delle azioni che definiscono la loro funzione; essi risponderanno sempre alle esigenze del presente. Il territorio utilizzato, esprimendo lo spazio del passato, condiziona lo spazio del presente e questo, a sua volta, partecipa alle possibilità che daranno vita allo spazio a venire. Riflettere sulla storia del presente è quindi fondamentale per la Geografia.

Dieses Werk zeigt die Entwicklung einer Denkrichtung, die in der Technik einen wesentlichen methodischen Faden für die Annäherung an die Realität unserer Zeit gefunden hat. Sie unterstreicht die Tatsache, dass jede Gesellschaft ihr Territorium und ihre Zeit auf eine bestimmte Weise nutzt. Das Verständnis dieses genutzten Territoriums hängt mit den Handlungen zusammen, die die genauen Funktionen der Objekte definieren, die der Mensch historisch konstruiert hat und die ein Bestandteil dieses Territoriums sind. Geografische Objekte hätten nicht nur einen technischen, sondern auch einen zeitlichen Inhalt: Jedes hätte seine eigene Zeit, die im Kontext der Gegenwart Bedeutung erlangt. Die Existenz von geografischen Objekten ist mit ihrem Standort verbunden. Daraus ergibt sich die Intentionalität der Aktion oder der Aktionen, die ihre Funktion bestimmen; sie werden immer auf die Bedürfnisse der Gegenwart reagieren. Das genutzte Territorium, das den Raum der Vergangenheit zum Ausdruck bringt, bedingt den Raum der Gegenwart, und dieser wiederum hat Anteil an den Möglichkeiten, die dem zukünftigen Raum seine Existenz verleihen werden. Die Reflexion über die Geschichte der Gegenwart ist daher für die Geographie von grundlegender Bedeutung.

Se resalta que toda sociedad tiene una manera de usar su territorio y su tiempo. La comprensión de ese territorio usado pasa por relacionarlo con las acciones que le definen funciones precisas a los objetos que el ser humano ha construido históricamente y que son parte constitutiva de ese territorio. Los objetos geográficos tendrían no sólo un contenido técnico, sino también uno temporal: cada uno detentaría sus propios tiempos que cobran significado dentro del contexto que da el presente. La existencia de los objetos geográficos se asocia con su localización. Ésta es la que materializa la intencionalidad de la acción o acciones que define su función; siempre responderán a necesidades del presente.
