Stern - School of business, language: English, abstract: The paper focuses on strategic issues of the management of Netflix in India, pointing to the following key question: How can the company adapt its business model to gain a foothold in the Indian market? Should the company conduct acquisitions to deal with the situations? Or should Netflix exit India and shift focus to other global markets instead?Netflix, a leading American online media streaming and production company, expanded successfully across the globe in the 2010s. However, in Indiäa very important market for Netflix due to its large population and strong demand for video streaming¿Netflix seems to be struggling. Dominant competitors and specific customer requirements have made growth difficult for the firm.In this case, both Netflix and the Indian video streaming market are analyzed, with several strategic options are compared. The team of authors recommends purchasing local studios and production houses, so that Netflix can continue to pursue its verticalization strategy and meet local consumer demands. We also suggest Netflix adapt its price to appeal to more users, as Indian users are generally more price-sensitive. While it might dilute Netflix¿ premium brand, we believe such risk can be mitigated by adopting a more bare-bones, lower-cost subscription targeting the large number of Indian consumers who use their smartphones to access the internet.

It analyzes the relevance of urban logistics, examines transportation types of the future and discusses the impact of demographic change and labor shortage on the logistics market. Further, the concept "Post 4.0" is critically questioned and it is reflected to what extent the fields procurement and production logistics are influenced by the global trends. Lastly, a conclusion summarizes the most important findings and introduces additional research fields.Urban logistics is a topic of increasing interest to both research and practice. Reasons for this are diverse: Population growth in urban areas is expected to continue, meaning that by 2030, 79% of the German population will live in these areas. This, in turn, has an impact on the already growing e-commerce which is a major driver for parcel delivery. As a result, parcel volume is expected to reach 5 billion pieces per year by 2026, equaling a growth of 100% since 2016. With a growing volume, not only the complexity of routes and business scalability increases, but also environmental problems, which are already the focus of various stakeholders anyway. Thus, logistics companies are required to develop innovative solutions, such as those derived from the possibilities of digitalization, in order to meet the increasing and changing demands of stakeholders.

The objective of this paper is to derive a recommendation for the strategic positioning and evaluate if it would be a clever investment at the moment. In order to reach the objective, this paper follows a comprehensive structure: First, an overview of E-Trade and its industry is given. Second, E- Trade will be analyzed from an external perspective. This includes a macro, industry, and competitor analysis. Third, an internal analysis is conducted which is done by breaking down E-Trade¿s value chain and benchmarking internal KPI against the main competitors. Fourth, the findings of the individual analyses are integrated in order to derive strategic recommendations for action. Lastly, the results of the paper are concluded and a final investment recommendation is provided.
