Presents a collection of essays by scholars of 19th and early 20th-century French music, assembled in homage to the influential and inspirational French musicologist Francois Lesure who died in 2001. This work is based on scholarship around two French composers Berlioz and Debussy, and the sources, contexts and legacies relating to their work.
