A long time ago there was a little girl named Big Hair One with Bear Feet. Big Hair One did not like to wear shoes. She ran the fields barefoot, she ran the snow barefoot and she ran the scorching pavement barefoot. When she decides not to wear her one and only black and white shoes with a red heart on the side, she has no Idea the attention her bare feet will bring. People laughed and questioned, "what happened to your feet?" Big Hair One with Bear Feet didn't think anything happened to her feet. When her mother learns Big Hair One is being bullied, she explains where the looks of her feet came from. How she inherited her feet from an ancestor she never knew. And in the end, Big Hair One with Bear Feet learns the meaning of gratefulness and forgiveness.
