The year is 528 A.D. and Ray McJohnson awakes excited about the day ahead. The Queen Mary is throwing a ball to welcome her two new friends Gimlette and Morehouse in to her ever growing number of friends represented by a wooden sign in the town of Blueburrie's main square. Ray steps in to his tap shoes and paradiddles right out of bed. Excited for the ball, Ray knows he must be at the top of his tap dancing game tonight for the big performance. A knock at his door, Flounder arrives with blueberry waffles, blueberry juice, and peacock link sausages for Ray's big day. The whole town is busy with preparations. Blueburry pickers are hard at work, while Blur the butcher prepares the roasted peacock for the celebration. Mosh, the town's ball manager frantically runs throughout the city doubling check everyone's duties. If the ball doesn't go exactly as planned The Queen Mary will not hesitate hold everyone accountable and punish them in the city's dungeon. Despite the ball being perceived as a huge success, The Queen Mary's unachievable standards cause her to become filled with rage. During Ray's tap dance number, she becomes infuriated and commands her guards to imprison Ray and Flounder to the castle dungeon. Now faced with a significant prison sentence Ray and Flounder are faced with a life changing question. Do they spend the rest of their lives in jail or do they try and escape with the help of their new friends who are all seeking a new life?
