Decker Davis struggles as the “odd kid out”, but he is far from odd. Through his inability to see skin color, he shows the racially charged Southern society of 1968 what normal really is. With the true charm of a very gifted 11-year-old boy and the help of his family, he overcomes learning disabilities and racism.
