The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between COVID-19 and ergonomic risks at the Customs Office, Tarapoto, 2020. A non-experimental study, with a correlational design, the population and sample consisted of 39 collaborators, the technique used was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire. The result, according to the correlation coefficient of 0.837 which, according to the established parameters, determined the relationship between variables, there was a positive and high relationship, with a degree of significance (bilateral) of 0.000 which, being less than the expected alpha (Sig. < 0.05) we proceeded to accept the research hypothesis, concluding that: employees are not prepared to confront this pandemic, causing them to put the entire institution at ergonomic risk; that is, the greater the fear of COVID-19, the greater the ergonomic risk.
