Depressive disorders: an updated review

Depression is a disease of great social repercussion due to its high prevalence, its treatment implies a considerable cost, it is one of the main suicide risks, becoming a relevant cause of mortality and has a great impact on people's productivity, being one of the disorders that generates the greatest disability, so that depressive disorders play an enormous economic role, not only in the health system but also in society.
