Disseminated histoplasmosis

The main epidemiological characteristics of the population and clinical presentation of patients coinfected with HIV and disseminated histoplasmosis, diagnostic methods and therapeutic and follow-up options for affected patients are described. At the same time, the importance of diagnosing other concomitant opportunistic infections, history of AIDS marker diseases in the individual, immunological status of the host at the time of infection and early consultation to the health system is emphasized.
