Downstream and Upstream Ecologists

The author separates ecologists, all with the same basic goals - less consumption, less waste, less energy use, into two groups. The "Downstream Ecologists" are those concerned with air and water, and "Upstream Ecologists", those who believe the pollution is a symptom of some larger phenonmenon.
