Über Elastography of benign breast pathologies
Ultrasound elastography was introduced as a new imaging method complementary to ultrasound to overcome the latter's limitations, such as the high number of unnecessary biopsies. The addition of elastography to conventional ultrasound significantly reduces the need for biopsies. This book begins with the introduction, the principle of static elastography, followed by the technique of performing an elastographic examination, and ends with 25 cases of benign breast pathology, richly illustrated with best images and demonstrative diagrams for each pathology. It is hoped that all radiologists involved in breast imaging will find this book easily accessible, clear and didactic, and that they will regard it as a reference in the elastography of benign breast pathologies.
