Evidence as to Man's Place in Nature

In 1863, the biologist Thomas Henry Huxley published a compilation of his public lectures on Darwin's theory of evolution - specifically the idea of the ape ancestry of humans. A keen supporter of Darwin, Huxley argued that to understand the universe, everybody must know their place in the natural world.
