Experimental Economics

A small number of economists have begun to use laboratory experiments to evaluate economic propositions under carefully controlled conditions. This work offers a comprehensive treatment of this area of research. Acknowledging that laboratory experiments are no panacea, it argues for their effectiveness in selected situations.
