In the early 1900s, many of the girls that came to the Convent to learn were from different backgrounds and situations.
In Florence and the Convent, Florence is a nervous nine-year-old girl whose father wants the best for her and her future. Florence's father takes her to the Convent, so she can become a properly educated lady after losing her mother. Nerves and uncertainty make Florence question this life-altering change.
