Über Fotografien aus den Lagern des NS-Regimes
This book goes back to the conference Photographs from the camps of the Nazi regime, which took place in November 2016 at the Center for Jewish Studies in Graz. In terms of research history, photography is now one of the key media for research into the Holocaust, which can be attributed to the fact that the concentration camps were photographed en masse and variedly - despite all official bans. The thematic arc of tension in the articles published here ranges from private clippers from the ranks of the SS to photographs taken by the identification service and clandestine shots of concentration camp inmates. Seldom published image sources from the archives of Western and Eastern Europe and the USA are presented.
