H is for Hunt

Hunt, a very scruffy eight-year-old shelter dog, with mange and hair falling out, is ignored at the animal shelter.
Katie is a compassionate girl. It is her birthday, and her dad is taking her to the shelter to get a dog of her own.
The only thing that her mother said before they left home was "to bring home a gorgeous dog, a beautiful one, to sit with them in the morning sun!"
