Elohei Yishi (The God of My Salvation) His Plan of Salvation for His Beloved Jewish People details God's desire from the beginning to have a people to whom He could reveal Himself and establish His plan of salvation. He started by making a covenant with Abram to establish a holy people through Abram and bless his descendants above all people on earth. Though focused on Jewish scriptures, this collection will appeal to everyone. About the AuthorLaVonae V. Floyd became a true believer in 1983 when she was prompted by God to read the New Testament. Can anyone become a Visionary Leader? This question, laid out at the onset of the book, is answered with a resounding "Yes!" throughout its chapters. Stephen R. Mason was inspired to shares his reflections on his long career as an executive in the healthcare industry. Simply put, Mason is motivated by the thought that sharing his journey and the insights he has learned along the way might be of service to others. That journey shows up as a series of refreshingly personal analogies and anecdotes organized around a set of guiding principles called The Success Formula. While leaving plenty of room for individual interpretation, The Success Formula offers time-tested and well-vetted recommendations for making the most ambitious vision a reality. Mason incorporates interesting examples from his own career in healthcare to illustrate how any organization-including those in fields not known for their swift adaptation and market repositioning-can learn to innovate and think beyond the status quo. Suspension came about quite by accident. I wanted to write a paragraph for my Character Education students to analyze, and I literally just kept writing. My students read each chapter as I finished it, often asking me to describe what happened next. I would respond honestly that I wouldn't know until it had been written. When my first draft was complete, one of my students was reading it during art. Admonished to focus on her present class, she gave the draft to our school's talented art teacher, who, the following morning, asked to illustrate it. As I wrote, I found myself revisiting and contemplating my personal experiences with bullying, friendships, expectations, disappointments, successes, and love. In Suspension, Leo Smith gets to live my most remarkable journey! I hope readers will feel that they are living it, as well. In this literary work you will stop asking God "why." We commit murder, rape, torture, embezzlement, drug abuse, fraud and every act of devilment that is known against God! How can this be when we say we love God? We need to quit lying, for it is for certain: Thy kingdom is not coming until Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven! The only way that will happen is if you quit asking "why" when you have committed the very evil you are asking deliverance from. Overstand what you say you understand. If someone had said to her twenty-five years ago that she would be living the life she's living, Merredith F. Perkins, Ph.D. would have questioned his or her sanity. She would have been an ardent disbeliever. The fortune of writing was bestowed upon her a long time ago, but she did not know that twenty-five years of reflective writing and her poems would show up in a book at this stage of her life. In her golden years, Dr. Perkins is writing and sharing her poetry with the public to show that we all have a lot in common and that we all stumble humbly through our life's journey. In taking stock of her life and understanding a little bit of what her life has been for, she is learning that the puzzle pieces were being laid on a path long before she arrived at that path. Poems of Love, Struggle, and Change is a collection of poetic expressions on topics about love in relationships, struggling with expressions of self-awareness, and engaging in the friction of self-discovery as a way to gauge internal and external explorations as life unfolds.About the AuthorMerredith F. Perkins, Ph.D. is retired from the Prince George's County Public School System. She currently volunteers for the Summer Literacy Program at the library and loves interacting with the children in her community. Hi, It's Me - A Memoir by Toismom and The Saga of Toi and Me - A Memoir recount the powerfully moving reminiscence of her life with her daughter who died all too early at the age of thirty-nine. Just a Moment: A Conversation is a collection of personal experiences and exercises to encourage self-reflection and self-improvement.
