Dental technology improvements have reshaped concept of photography to powerful medium of expression & communication. Digital photography is one of the most common clinical applications of computerization in dentistry nowadays. It aids in the discovery of hidden and undetected flaws in teeth and other areas of the cavity or smile. The dental world is made up of microstructures that must be meticulously documented in order to execute patient education, record documentation, and treatment. This review focuses on the important applications of digital photography in dentistry and the potential impact on patient compliance with dental care.

The experiment was undertaken to study the effect of different sources and levels of potassium fertilizers on growth, yield and quality of gerbera, under polyhouse conditions at College of Agriculture, Pune during 2005-06. There were three sources of potassium viz., Muriate of potash, sulphate of potash and nitrate of potash and four levels of potassium i e, 75%, 100% 125% and 150% K of recommended dose by using factorial completely randomized block design with three replications under controlled conditions. The leachate analysis at 240 days indicated that due to application of murate of potash there was increase in chlorine content in leachate, which in turn increased electrical conductivity of leachate, which was responsible for reduction in yield of gerbera flowers. The leachate studies indicated that sulphate of potash was proper source of potassium for gerbera, while muriate of potash showed adverse effects on growth, yield and quality at later stage i.e., after 210 days of planting that might be due to accumulation of chlorine in root zone. 100% dose of K showed beneficial effects on gerbera, higher application of K had not shown any Favorable effect on Gerbera.

* Grain and straw yield of rabi maize were significantly influenced due to varying sowing dates. Crop sown on 1st November and 15th October were found equally good with respect to grain and straw yield of rabi maize. But which were found significantly superior over 15th November and 1st December sowing.* Quality parameters in terms of protein content in grain did not show any significant differences due to varying sowing dates. However, numerically the maximum protein content in grain was recorded by 1st November Sowing.* Application of 200-100-00 kg NPK /ha (F3) recorded significantly the highest grain (5180 kg/ha) and straw yield (5355 kg/ha). While, Significantly the lowest grain (4249 kg/ha) and straw yield (4700 kg/ha) were produced under treatment F1 (150-75-00 kg NPK /ha).* Significantly the highest protein yield (544 kg/ha) was recorded with application of 200-100-00 kg NPK /ha (F3). Significantly the lowest protein yield (422 kg/ha) was recorded by treatment F1 (150-75-00 kg NPK /ha).

Dental caries is an infectious microbiologic disease of the teeth that results in dissolution of the organic and destruction of the calcified tissue of the tooth. Dental caries is one of the most common diseases in humans. In modern times, it has reached epidemic proportions. The prevalence of dental caries in developed countries varies highly and can reach over 90%. The rate of Caries has been increasing in developing countries with the increase in the consumption of refined sugars. This book highlights induction of dental caries which involves multiple S. Mutans proteins, and will serve as a model for the preparation of other gene constructs to include in a combination dental vaccine. The present study was carried out with the objective to prepare thekua, by incorporating unripe banana powder. Product prepared without any incorpation, served as control (T0). The wheat flour 80 percent ,60 percent , 40 percent was blended with 20 percent ,40 percent ,60 percent unripe banana powder to serve as experimental treatments T1, T2 and T3..Each treatment was replicated three times .Sensary evaluation of the thekua was carried out by using by using a 9 Hedonic Scale .The data obtained during the study were analysed statistically by using analysis variance and critical difference . On the basis of finding ,it was concluded T2( 40 percent unripe banana powder and 60 percent erfined flour ) was the most acceptable in Taste and Flavour, Colour , Body and Texture and Overall acceptability and on the basis of acceptability it is concluded that incorporated in value added traditional food products namely ¿Thekuä. Nutrient determination indicates that higest fibre, calcium, phosphorous, and iron content were found in t3 T3 treatment. Cost of the last treatment of thekua 100 grm on the basis of raw ingredient was Rs Rs6-10.52.

Rice (Oryza sp.) is consumed every day by half of the world¿s population and is a staple food in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). It constitutes a strategic food security crop of several countries in the SSA region. However, SSA experiences huge rice yield losses every year because of biotic stresses. Rice Yellow Mottle Virus (RYMV) disease, reported in Kenya 52 years ago, is a major biotic factor affecting rice production and continues to be an important viral disease in SSA. Strengthening rice varietal resilience to RYMV in Benin through the beneficial role of silicon and the genetic selection of intraspecific O. glaberrima lowland rice progenies was conducted to improve rice productivity in West Africa. I updated the geographical distribution of RYMV disease and accessed 102 rice farmer's perceptions on main rice production constraints in Benin. Later, I screened 79 improved aromatic and non-aromatic genotypes developed and introduced in Benin. These genotypes include the susceptible IR64 (O. sativa) and the resistant TOG5681 (O. glaberrima) as checks. Our results confirm O. glaberrima germplasm is an important source of resistance to RBe24 isolate of RYMV for breeding for resistance.

Vital pulp therapy is a dental procedure aimed at preserving the health and function of a tooth's pulp ¿ the innermost part containing nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissues. This treatment becomes necessary when the pulp is exposed or affected by decay, trauma, or other dental issues, yet the tooth itself remains viable. The primary goal of vital pulp therapy is to eliminate infection, promote healing, and maintain the natural tooth structure.One common technique within vital pulp therapy is pulpotomy, where the inflamed portion of the pulp is removed, and the remaining healthy tissue is preserved. This procedure is often performed on primary (baby) teeth to prevent the spread of infection and maintain the integrity of the tooth until it naturally exfoliates.Another approach involves direct pulp capping, which is applicable when the pulp is exposed due to a small mechanical or traumatic exposure. In this case, a biocompatible material, such as calcium hydroxide or mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), is placed directly over the exposed pulp to encourage healing and dentin formation, effectively sealing the pulp chamber from bacterial invasion.

Endodontic treatment is sometimes necessary in children to resolve pulpal pathologies.
