The research presents an analysis of the influence of the hydrochemical regime of rivers and canals on the health of the rural population. To compare medical statistics materials and observed values of the hydrochemical regime of surface waters in the Tashkent region, the method of nosogeographic analysis was used, and multivariate regression analysis was used to process observation materials. The results of assessing the risk of increased incidence are presented in the form of multivariate regression analysis equations with the corresponding determination coefficients. Overall, the coefficient of multiple determination is 0.38. More than 30% of all factors influencing the morbidity of the population depend on the hydrochemical regime of surface runoff, and the remaining 70% depend on other factors - genetic, medical care, conditions and lifestyle, and the general state of the environment. A new approach was used to assess the impact of water quality on the health of the rural population and the risk of morbidity. Based on this approach, it is possible to develop preventive measures to reduce the overall morbidity of the rural population.

The primary objective of present investigation was to assess the level of genetic variation, correlation, and path analysis of traits related to seed yield and yield contributing characters in Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.). Bitter gourd (Momordica charantia L.) is one of the commercially important cucurbitaceous vegetable crops and it is extensively grown throughout the country for its nutritive value and medicinal properties. Among the several factors related to vegetable production, nutrient management is one of the key factor for achieving higher yield and better quality of the crop. Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) is essential for maintaining soil fertility, ensuring ecological sustainability, and enhancing the productivity of vegetable crops. A balanced combination of organic manures, chemical fertilizers, and biofertilizers can sustain crop productivity, preserve soil health, and supplement the nutritional requirements of crops. This book is designed to encompass ten different treatments were applied, varying in nutrient composition and organic inputs. Results showed that the treatment involving 100% RDF of NPK + FYM 5t/ha + Biofertilizers 4kg/ha exhibited superior performance in terms of growth, yield and flowering parameters. the soil fertility status also improved, making this integrated approach economically viable with higher net returns and a favorable benefit-cost ratio.

The current waste management system in Lagos State is faced with inefficient collection of generated waste and the use of dumpsites for waste disposal, which has manifested significant adverse environmental impacts. This study suggests segregation of waste at the source of production at household level in other to reduce the cost of separation at the recycling plants and to increase the quantity and quality of the recycled materials. It also suggests that scavenging should be effectively coordinated to achieve greater social and economic benefits from such activities, and also to protect the health of the people involved. Landfilling will remain an important option for final disposal, but reliance on this method could be significantly reduced if solid waste management options are exploited.

Taguchi orthogonal arrays were designed using MINITAB software to maximize the mechanical properties and minimize wear loss and coefficient of friction of the developed composite.

In recent decades, there has been a substantial increase fungal infection (IFI), posing a significant threat to human health. Candida albicans, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Aspergillus fumigatus are the predominant pathogens responsible for the majority of IFIs in clinical settings. Despite advances in antifungal therapy, IFIs remain a major cause of morbidity and mortality, especially in immunocompromised and HIV-infected patients. The primary therapeutic families for fungal infections include polyenes, fluoropyrimidines, azoles, allylamines, and echinocandins. However, these antifungal drugs face challenges such as low water solubility, toxicity, narrow-spectrum activity, low bioavailability and, above all, the emergence of fungal drug resistance. To address the urgent medical need for improved antifungal agents, this book explores the application of Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) methods.
