It is the hard bone like tissue covering the anatomic roots of the teeth.Alveolar process is that portion of the maxilla and mandible that forms or supports the tooth sockets (alveoli).It forms when the tooth erupts to provide the osseous attachment to the forming periodontal ligament; it disappears gradually after the tooth is lost.

Norway is one of the Western European countries that have had extensive experiences of hosting considerable number of refugees and asylum seekers. In addition to protection and other essential services like shelter and food, refugees also need to have access to education, especially quality education to shorten their transition period and efficiently adapt to their host countries. In the world`s development index, Norway has earned the reputation of being one of the top 5 countries for several consecutive years. Thus, Norway is often regarded as one of the world¿s best countries to live in. Nevertheless, the good images of Norway do not necessarily entail that the refugees it hosts are provided with the best social services they deserve, including a quality education which matches their peculiar demands. Employing qualitative research methodology and using the theories of wellbeing and the theory of Western hegemonic epistemology, this study aimed to explore how the primary education provided to the adult refugees impacts their wellbeing by taking three municipalities in South-Eastern Norway as a case study.

There are an emergent machine learning(ML) algorithms to classify land-cover and land-use. In this book we focus on the relatively mature methods (seven methods) support vector (SVM) machines, decision trees (DTs), artificial neural networks, k-nearest neighbours (k-NN), naïve Bayes, Boosting and Random forest (RF).Accurate and timely collection of urban land use and land cover information is crucial for many aspects of urban development and environment protection.Accurate land covers classification is challenging. Improving land cover classification is a hot topic. It is needed for many applications such as land use land cover mapping environmental monitoring, natural resource management, urban planning, and management and change detection. The Reliability of power electronic devices has been an important issue since the early power electronic applications introduced. The power electronic converter plays a crucial role in the failures of a PV system. The unscheduled maintenance failure due to power electronics devices are 37 % of the total failure. In that 31% of the failures are due to the power semi conductor devices. In recent years, many researchers have conducted reliability assessments of power electronic devices, yet the reliability of numerous circuits used widely has not been evaluated. This project presents a comprehensive reliability evaluation of fundamental photo voltaic inverter. The reliability of the inverter is analyzed by calculating the mean time to failure for an IGBT module. The calculation was performed by Parts stress method to achieve better results. In the Parts count method, due to the direct relationship between component failure and temperature; we used PLECS to determine power losses in switches taking into account and the Junction temperature factor.

Periodontitis is a chronic multifactorial inflammatory disease associated with dysbiotic plaque biofilms and characterized by progressive destruction of the tooth¿supporting apparatus, subsequently causing pocket formation, gingival recession or both. Ozone has been applied in medicine for more than a century now, although its clinical implications in dentistry have only been recently investigated. The beneficial biological effects of ozone, its anti-microbial activity, oxidation of bio-molecules precursors and microbial toxins implicated in periodontal diseases and its healing and tissue regeneration properties, make the use of ozone well indicated in all stages of periodontal diseases. Therefore, the use of ozone as an adjunctive therapy characterizes a novel method in the treatment of chronic periodontal disease.

As the world economies become more interconnected, derivatives have emerged as crucial financial instruments for mitigating exposure. The adoption of derivatives is experiencing rapid growth on both national and international scales. The primary aim of this book is to evaluate the influence of financial derivatives, namely Stock Futures, Stock Options, Index Futures, and Index Options, on the volatility of the Indian stock market. The impact of financial derivatives on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has been analyzed both pre and post their introduction. Out of the 13 industrial groups where derivatives trading is allowed, this study focuses on 10 of them. Sufficient empirical evidence has been presented in this study to demonstrate the positive impact of Derivatives on reducing volatility in the stock market and improving both informational and market efficiency. This book also discusses the influence of non-price variable such as volume on the prediction of prices of financial derivatives.

Ghana is best known, as the second largest producer of cocoa beans. Apart from cocoa, Ghana also produces some significant amount of Robusta coffee beans, the quality of which is poor as a result of poor processing methods. Studies was conducted to investigate the impact of drying methods and depths on the quality of Robusta coffee beans at Kwahu Bepong, with laboratory support from the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) and the Horticulture Department of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. The study aims to (I) determine the combined effect of drying method and depth on coffee cup quality, and (II) assess the impact of drying on fungal mold incidence. The experimental design includes three drying methods and three depths, and data is collected on drying duration, caffeine and protein content, temperature and moisture in bean heaps, fungal load, and defective beans. Results show significant differences in various factors based on drying methods and depths. While drying methods do not affect caffeine content, microbial counts reveal Aspergillus species as predominant. Beans dried on raised raffia mats exhibit faster drying and lower microbial counts.

After sixteen preceding sets of practical exercises laid forward in preceding manuscripts, I have inspired from my core ICT academic and research experience to produce this manuscript. Here, a successive set of 35 cohesively written practical exercises in softwares, directly related to General Societal Welfare, is laid forward, in a similar style as in the preceding manuscripts. Such exercises apply better to beginner levels in university courses. Of course, its applicability to advanced level courses may be appreciated by many academicians to their discretion. It is retained here that adaptations of these exercises by academicians to their requirements is very possible. It is recommended for students to devise good/workable summary sheets for each exercise, along with writing proper report and referencing needed. For each exercise, a share of analysis is required to develop thinking and critical/professional abilities. Most exercises are devised for computers/laptops along with currently trending smart phones/tablets. Students must communicate properly with their coach, who in turn, are recommended to perform judicious follow-ups.

Shock absorber is a hydraulic pump like mechanical device that is installed in vehicle to control unwanted movement of a spring mounted vehicle. In this study, two different materials are used as potential shock absorber materials, and their performance is calculated using FEA analysis. The materials used in this study and structural steel and aluminum alloy 6061. The stresses, deformations, fatigue life and vibrational analysis of both the shock absorbers are compared. It is studied that the steel shows excellent stress resistance even at heavy loads and the fatigue life of steel is higher than that of aluminum. However, both the materials show approximately equal vibrations when the loading is applied. The study suggests that both these materials can be used in the shock absorber, however because of high strength and high fatigue life characteristics, steel is preferred over aluminum.

The term periodontium arises from greek words ¿peri¿ meaning around and ¿odont¿ meaning tooth. Tissues that invest and support the teeth are collectively termed PERIODONTIUM. It consists of four principal components: two mineralized (i.e.alveolar bone & cementum) and two fibrous components (i.e. periodontal ligament & gingival),also called THE ATTACHMENT APPARATUS or THE SUPPORTING TISSUES OF THE TEETH. The fibrous investing tissue, covered by keratinized epithelium, which immediately surrounds a tooth and is contiguous with its periodontal ligament and with the mucosal tissues of the mouth. The gingiva covers the alveolar process, and it is the only one of the periodontal tissues that under healthy conditions are directly visible upon inspection. Periodontal ligament is an unique multifunctional soft specialized , vascular and highly cellular connective tissue that surrounds the tooth root and connects it to the inner wall of the alveolar bone. It is continuous with the connective tissue of the gingiva and communication with marrow spaces thro vascular channels in the bone.

Effect of nano-fertilizer and conventional fertilizer on the growth, yield, and yield attributes of sesame (Sesamum indicum L.), was carried out during the kharif season of 2021 at the student instructional field of the Department of Agronomy, School of Agriculture, ITM University, Gwalior (M.P.). The goal of the study was to see how conventional and nano-fertilizers affected sesame productivity and quality, as well as how they affected plant growth parameters, yield attributes, and yield, as well as sesame economics and quality.

This study aimed to assess the factors influencing the investment decisions of investors in mutual funds in Singapore. The research aimed to investigate the impact of risk tolerance, expense ratio, returns on investment (ROI) and fund manager's experience and expertise on investors' decision making process. The study employed a quantitative research approach, utilizing a structured questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 26 mutual fund investors in Singapore. The findings of this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge regarding investment decisions in mutual funds. The results will provide insights into the factors that influence investors' decision making process and help mutual fund companies and financial advisors tailor their strategies to better meet the needs and preferences of investors. The research implications of this study extend beyond academia as the findings will have practical implications for mutual fund companies, financial advisors and policymakers in Singapore.

The natural gases known to us in the republic, as well as waste process gases from production, require the removal of H2S, organic sulfur and CO2 to meet the requirements set by the specifications. Removal of H2S is necessary to ensure that the gas is not toxic and also for environmental reasons to reduce SO2 emissions at the point of consumption. The investigations were carried out to study the population dynamics of major pests in cotton and their correlation with weather parameters, Besides this, Bio-efficacy of newer insecticides against bollworm complex in cotton studied during Kharif 2018.The peak incidence of 20.4 aphids per three leaves was recorded in 40th SMW. Incidence of jassids started from 29th SMW (3.9 jassids/three leaves) which reached its 1st peak (10.2 jassids/ three leaves) in 31th SMW and 2nd peak (21.60 jassids/three leaves) in 37th SMW. The incidence of thrips population per three leaves started from 29th SMW (3.30) with its first peak in 31th SMW (12.50) and second peak in 41th SMW (30.20). Incidence of whitefly per three leaves in cotton during ranged between 3.8 to 24.50 and incidence started from 29th SMW (3.60) with its first peak in 37th SMW (24.50).Minimum locule damage was observed in the treatment with chlorantraniliprole 18.5 % SC and this treatment was statistically at par with emamectin benzoate 5% SG and spinosad 45 % SC. Treatment with chlorantraniliprole 18.5 % SC showed lower per cent of bad kapas and was statistically at par with emamectin benzoate 5% SG, spinosad 45 % SC.

Global security concerns have necessitated enhanced security measures in public spaces, including shopping malls, due to the prevalence of terrorism, organized crime, cyber threats, and other security issues. This research aims to address this knowledge gap by examining the relationship between security measures and customer satisfaction in shopping malls, with a specific focus on Juja Mall in Kiambu County, Kenya. The objectives are to assess the impact of security personnel presence on customer satisfaction with security services, analyze the effect of technological security measures (e.g., surveillance cameras, access control systems) on customer satisfaction, and examine the impact of physical security infrastructure (e.g., lighting, fencing, emergency exits) on customer satisfaction at Juja Mall. A sample size of 385 participants was distributed across different target groups as determined by calculations, enabling a comprehensive analysis of the study objectives. Findings from the study at Juja Mall reveal nuanced customer perceptions regarding the impact of security personnel presence.
