The present investigation on ¿Characterization and management of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cumini causing cumin wilt¿ was carried out at P.G. Research Laboratory and Pathology Research farm, Department of Plant Pathology, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh, during 2011-12 to 2013-14. Wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cumini is a serious disease of cumin. Considering its regular occurrence and economic loss the wilt pathogen was selected for present investigation to generate the informations to find out the pathogenic nature and variability among different isolates, screening of cultivars/lines and testing of chemicals and bioagents for the wilt management, under field condition to come out with the economical and sustainable solution of wilt in cumin cultivation.

Dynamic Power Conversion: Unleashing the Potential of Static Converters in Electrical Energy Regulation" is a comprehensive guide that explores the world of static converters and their role in converting and regulating electrical energy. Preventing road accidents caused by drowsy drivers is crucial for road safety. To achieve this, drowsiness detection while driving is necessary. The detection process involves monitoring the driver's eye movements, head position, and facial expressions. The latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning enable the detection of drowsiness signs in real time. Our goal is to create a drowsiness detection system that alerts drivers before it's too late for an accident to occur. This system can be incorporated into vehicles, personal devices, providing a successful solution for reducing the threat of drowsy driving. In conclusion, the proposed driver drowsiness detection system using Raspberry Pi provides a reliable and cost-effective solution for enhancing road safety. By detecting and alerting the driver to their drowsiness, the system can prevent accidents caused by drowsy driving, reducing the risk of injuries and fatalities on the road.

The present study showed that highways have adverse impact on wildlife including endangered species. The study recommends that some solution to avoid roadkills in MTR. To construct dwarf barriers (30cm height) on either side of the roads to avoid the movement of wild animals in accident prone areas. To construct pipe culverts and bridges in the appropriate areas such as stream crossings areas on the road sides. To construct road humps at every 300 or 400 meters interval in the most wild animals affected roads. Movement of vehicles should be stopped during night hours in most wild animals¿ (amphibians) damage areas. Signage and hoardings need to be fixed at most wild animal affected points to regulate the speed and caution the vehicles. Bushes should be removed along the verges and roadsides to sight animal crossings as well as animals able to see the vehicles to avoid accidents.

In this book we accounted general aspects of organopalladium compounds and available methodology to get organopalladium complexes in several oxidation states. We also explain the role of pincer ligand to isolate the desired palladium complexes in a particular oxidation state and its role in catalysis. Finally we also discuss the development of novel CNN pincer ligand bearing orgaopalaldium complexes through C-H bond activation and its catalysis. Along with these we also studies few single crystal X-ray studies of Organopalladium complexes.

The present investigation was conducted in two consecutive year¿s viz., 2016 and 2017 with ten combining treatments of nitrogen through coated urea and calcium sprays. The maximum annual shoot growth extension, increase in trunk girth and weight of pruning wood were measured under T8. The highest fruit yield was obtained under T5. The lowest fruit yield of 17.41 kg tree-1 in 2016 and 18.52 kg tree-1 in 2017 was recorded in treatment T7. Fruit firmness at harvest did not show significant change under various treatments during both the year of study. However, T2 and T5 came out as the treatments having maximum fruit firmness. The maximum pectin methyl esterase activity was estimated under control (T10), while the minimum was found in treatment T2. The treatment T2 and T3 favourably maintained fruit firmness during the course of storage at ambient. Treatment T2 also showed better organoleptic acceptability and good storability at ambient conditions. The applied treatments also affected the leaf nutrient status (N, P, K and Ca) significantly. The application of calcium chloride @ 1.5% caused marginal leaf scorching, while other two concentrations (0.5% and 1.0%) were safe.

However, anaesthetic failure in paediatric dentistry is common. Local anesthetics have made a great advancement in dentistry and have changed patients ¿perspectives of dental procedures to a great extent. There is still room for the improvement of painless techniques in administrating local anesthetics. It is important for clinicians to be familiar with all the local anesthesia devices and techniques.

With development of classification bureaus Fingerprint recognition began between 1890 &1900 as per physical attributes. During this period it was presumed that the records of the original criminals were maintained more than a single locality or a single parish. However the indexed records with the names of the criminals were vulnerable to subversion by adopting an alias method. Due to this factor, the idea of indexing records of the same bodily features were developed. Moreover, it was widely believed that the British register of distinctive marks listed convicts by same features like a scar, tattoo or a birth mark.(this was an early effort). The changes in jurisprudence resulted in the great demand for the criminal histories. The demand for more accurate knowledge of the criminal history of each offender, the focus was shifted from criminal act to individual. It led to ascertain individual ¿penal treatment¿ as well as the maiden criminals and recidivist¿s penal treatment . Efforts were also made in this period for using of Fingerprints for unique identification, which was in great demand.

Molecular identification of formaldehyde fixed old human bones through DNA extraction, qualitative and quantitative analysis of the presence of DNA or genes, when exposed to formaldehyde. Some unknown samples extracted for conducting this Research, The Research suggest 40 out of 50 samples are positive Results for Y- allele (M4 and M5 primers). Those which are positively Female for X-allele (M4 and M6 primers), are not eligible enough to showcase their existence.The primers are self-designed primers which is a deleted sequence of Y- allele, Primers displayed for Y and X is at 320 bp and 280 bp respectively. and are designed with reference to different databases, this study is further illustrated on the Gel electrophoresis under Gel documentation system.

The causative agent of malaria, that is Plasmodium undergoes complex development and transition to withstand mosquito innate immunity for its transmission from mosquito to human via vectors. Plasmodium sporozoites colonize in mosquito salivary glands, migrate through the sky, penetrates into blood vessels, breach in liver, sinusoid and invade hepatocytes. Malaria-transmitting mosquitoes are continuously in contact to mosquito midgut microbiota. The mosquito gut microbiota influences the outcome of pathogen infection but the mechanism by which symbiotic bacteria affect vector competence is unknown. Gut microbiota Serratia Y1 renders mosquito resistant to Plasmodium berghei infection as it activates the mosquito immune system. In total, the mosquito's immune signaling pathway and the gut microbiota plays an essential role in modulating the mosquitös capacity to sustain Plasmodium infection. This study enhances the role of mosquitös innate immune signaling pathways in preventing infection by the Plasmodium parasite, the role of gut microbiota in mosquito Plasmodium interaction and the crucial parasite and vector molecules that mediate midgut infection.

Over the last 30 years, fracture management has evolved toward a tendency now in many units to carry out open reduction and internal fixation, rather than the original methods of closed reduction. However, there are also important differences that significantly influence the management of facial fractures. This study discusses the traditional wire osteosynthesis method for management of facio maxillary fractures.Cranio-maxillofacial injuries affect a significant proportion of trauma patients. They can occur in isolation, or in combination with other serious injuries, including cranial, spinal, upper and lower body injuries.The management of cranio-maxillofacial trauma includes treatment of facial bone fractures, dento alveolar trauma, and soft tissue injuries, as well as associated injuries, mainly of the head and neck.The basic difference between rigid and non rigid fixation centers on inter fragmentary mobility. If there is mobility of the osseous fragments during active use of the skeletal structure after application of internal fxation devices, internal fixation is non rigid. An example of nonrigid fixation is a trans osseous wire placed across a fracture.

This book is a miniature attempt to explore the factors influencing the consumers to select the leather products, the awareness level of the consumers about the leather products, the satisfactions level of the consumers about the leather products, the problems faced by the consumers while purchasing the leather products and suggestion to improve to the quality of the leather products.

The study analyzed the population status and conservation threats of Indian peafowl in Tirupur district, Tamil Nadu, from August to October 2023. The population was assessed using road transects and roosting tree surveys. The study found that 9,976 Indian peafowl were present in 5,192 km2 of Tirupur district, with 7 roosting tree species identified. The peafowl population decreased due to habitat alteration and food shortage. The most affected crops were Onion, Chili, Groundnut, Beans, Ragi, Corn, and Tomato. 93 Indian peafowl individuals died from 2016 to 2022 due to poisoning in Tirupur district. The study concluded that the Indian peafowl population was better in Tirupur district, and most sightings were on agricultural lands. However, agricultural people's mindset is against these losses caused by Indian Peafowl.

An effort is made to develop stir casted low cost Babbitt/Ilmenite composite under controlled conditions and to carry out experimental investigation and optimization of the tribo-mechanical properties of the fabricated composite using Taguchi philosophy. The improvement in the tribo-mechanical characteristics of the Babbitt/Ilmenite composite at the optimized conditions in comparison to the Tin-Babbitt alloy is reported in the book. There is an ever increasing demand of low cost high performance novel materials in cutting-edge engineering applications. The results reported in the paper would not only attract researchers for further investigations but also encourage industrialists to manufacture the composite on large scale for heavy load and high speed bushings in automobile and aerospace applications at relatively low cost.

Hydroxybenzoic acids gallic acid, and Protocatechuic acid. Hydroxycinnamic acids are p-coumaric acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, sinapic acid, and other components such as coumarins (Umbelliferone, Esculetin, Scopoletin, Resveratrol, Piceatannol, Pterostilbene), curcuminoids (Curcumin, Demethoxycurcumin, Bisdemethoxycurcumin), condensed tannins or proanthocyanidins (Procyanidin B1), and lignan (Sesamin).

It is well known that solar power production is maximum through solar panels when the sun is perpendicular to the solar panel. A number of solar tracking electronic devices have been made to align the solar panel with the sun. But they consume power and effectively power generation is not efficient. It is desired to make a solar panel tracker which does not consume power. So the aim of this work is to develop a system that can efficiently track the sun's movement without the use of any external power source. This project utilizes a passive solar tracker that adjusts the angle of the solar panel to maximize the absorption of solar energy. The book focuses on the design and fabrication of a mechanism that can automatically track the sun's movement using a simple and low-cost mechanism. The book includes the development of a control system that can accurately determine the sun's position and adjust the solar panel's angle accordingly. The objective is to provide an efficient and cost-effective solution for harvesting solar energy in areas where the cost of energy is high, and access to electricity is limited.
