Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench) also known as ¿Lady¿s Finger¿, or bhindi is an important vegetable crop belonging to the family Malvaceae and grown extensively in all the tropical and sub- tropical regions of the world and in some of the warmer parts of the temperate zone. Globally, India ranks first in okra production having an area of 509 thousand hectares with an annual production of 6095 thousand tons and productivity of 12 million t/ha. The crop is grown throughout India, Gujarat is the leading okra producing state which has production of around 1,019.42 thousand tons (15.89% of total production) from an area of 75.27 thousand ha, with a productivity of 12.25 t/ha. Plant parasitic nematodes are considered as one of the major constraints for successful production of crops. Being obligate parasites, they must draw their nutrition from plant hosts and in the process, must debilitate the plant. Bio-control agent are reported to convert complex inorganic nutrients to soluble forms that become available for absorption to the plant roots and result in increased plant growth. This book give an insight on effect of bioformulations against root-knot nematode in okra.

Migrant¿s workers are the engine of growth from centuries which have been working day and night for the economic success of any region across the globe. On the other side, they are the most vulnerable and have no access to any kind of social security. The forced reverse migration from urban to rural areas will have a significant impact on the demography, society and economy of rural India. Most of the migrant workers were marginal farmers in the past which left agriculture and moved to urban areas for better economic opportunities. The forced reverse migration amid agrarian crisis poses a big threat on people to fall into abject poverty. Evidence indicates that as many as 140 million of Indiäs rural poor migrate seasonally to cities, industries, and farms in search of work. These are migrants who move back and forth undertaking a vast array of casual work in construction, manufacturing, services, and farm sector. They are part of Indiäs unorganized, informal workforce estimated over 350 million that remains excluded from services and rights as workers and citizens, in their rural homes and in their places of work in urban, industrial, and rural areas.

Tilted implants are a very good alternative for conventional implants because of its numerous advantages, such as immediate function and esthetics, reduced morbidity, high patient satisfaction, and relatively lower costs. These factors should be considered when assessing treatment options for an edentulous jaw for a long term results. The advantages of tilted implants are: (a) the use of longer implants, thereby increasing the contact (osseointegration) surface; (b) improved primary stability by anchoring in more than one cortical layer; (c) the avoidance of cantilever extremities by placing the implants more distal and with better load distribution over the dental arch; and (d) avoidance of the use of bone grafts and sinus lift procedures - with the resulting reduction in morbidity Minimal incidence of surgical complications and high implant survival rates. biomechanically favorable prosthetic support may be obtained by tilting the posterior implants and that implant tilting per se has no negative effect on bone resorption.

Ticks are able to transmit tick-borne infectious agents to vertebrate hosts which cause major constraints to public and livestock health. The costs associated with mortality, relapse, treatments, and decreased production yields are economically significant. Ticks adapted to a hematophagous existence after the vertebrate hemostatic system evolved into a multi-layered defense system against foreign invasion (pathogens and ectoparasites), blood loss, and immune responses. Subsequently, ticks evolved by developing an ability to suppress the vertebrate host immune system with a devastating impact particularly for exotic and crossbred cattle. Host genetics defines the immune responsiveness against ticks and tick-borne pathogens. Pesticides are commonly regarded as substances used to control organisms such as insects, fungi, weeds, and microbes that destroy plants, particularly those for food production. EPF are a species of fungal pathogens for arthropods. They are considered cosmopolitan saprophytic organisms that live in diverse ecosystems and climates (e.g., tropical, temperate, arid and artic), where they interact with arthropods in many terrestrial and aquatic habitats.

Thioredoxin (Trx) (12 kDa M.W.) is a ubiquitous antioxidant protein which controls the oxidative stress and redox signaling with thioredoxin reductase (TrxR) and NADPH. Trx acts as an electron donor for ribonucleotide reductase (RNR), methionine sulfoxide reductase (Msr), and Trx peroxidase (peroxiredoxin). Trx plays an important role in DNA synthesis, reduction of the disulfide bond, recycling of peroxiredoxin (Prx), and as an electron donor. Various in vivo and in vitro assays are used to check the activity of Trx. This work is focused on the study of in vivo and in vitro methods for Trx activity which have been used in the different model system. Different methods were studied to evaluate the activity of Trx in different samples. Insulin reduction assay is more commonly used in vitro method because insulin acts as effective substrate for activity of Trx. Fluorescence, DTNB (5, 5¿-dithiobis (2-nitrobenzoic acid)) reduction, spectrophotometric or micro-method insulin reduction, and disulfide cross-linking interaction in vitro assays while Luciferase, cloning, and wort in vivo assays are used for the activity of the Trx system.

The ongoing trend in the field of mandatory acquisitions is to consider issues from the perspective of minority shareholder rights. How can a minority shareholder obtain a fair opportunity whenever a mandatory acquisition occurs in the corporation? In this noble pursuit for minority rights in the corporation arises the common mandatory bid rule (MBR), which offers minority shareholders the option to sell shares at a price equal to the controlling seller.Kuwait, as it began to develop its market, implemented the MBR to protect shareholders. Yet, it now appears that this adoption may not have the intended results on market growth in Kuwait. Adoption of the MBR in Kuwait raises many questions as to why, how, and for what purpose it was considered the mechanism to protect minority shareholders in Kuwait. In order for Kuwait to develop a more robust exchange, certain modifications need to be made to its market practices, specifically its MBR. This paper explores the history of the MBR in Kuwait and then examines how it has been used in Kuwait to protect shareholders but discourage acquisitions, resulting in stagnation that contrasts with the goals of Kuwait¿s Development Plan of 2035.

Variable star studies play an important roles in understanding the physical properties of the galaxies and clusters they are present in. The stars in globular clusters are believed to have formed roughly at the same time (although there is also mounting evidence that some clusters have formed via several episodes of star formation), from the same primordial material, and with the same composition. This should lead to a homogeneity in certain fundamental properties of the stars within each cluster, but with differences between the clusters. Knowledge about these properties, such as metallicity, age, and kinematics, are therefore important. One way to obtain better constraints on some of these physical parameters is to study the population of variable stars, especially RR Lyrae stars. Observing variable stars in different galaxy environments makes it possible to relate the types of variable stars to the stellar populations in their host galaxies.

Comprehensive review is made regarding influence of uncracked gaseous ammonia NH3 and of non-graphitic carbon on composition of carbo-nitride and regarding influence of extremely fast cooling/heating rate during processing on micro-structure of alloys. This monograph is written based on a review article published on Journal of Surfaces and Interfaces of Materials about a decade ago (Shohoji,2014) that summarized extensively the effect of unstable chemical species in the reactants and of non-equilibrium reaction routes on properties, such as chemical composition and micro-structure, of reaction product. As the manuscript for the review was prepared for journal publication, it was sometimes desirable to over-simplify or short-cut explanations for basic terms to comply with the page budget of the journal. I wonder if this might have made the published review article somewhat difficult for some readers to understand the contents straightforwardly. Thus, in this monograph, it is intended to add concise explanations for basic technical terms to assist readers¿ understanding for the main text of the review.

The discourse of political Islam is often contrary to immoral, liberticidal and individualistic Zionist Judeo-Christian values and norms and therefore represents a threat to the interests and profits of the Freemasonic mercantile in a population of almost two billion Muslim consumers, hence the Islamophobic smear campaigns. That's why modern Turkey, an example of successful governance and sustainable development of political Islam, has long been the target of various attacks by the Zionist Judeo-Christian Freemasonic brotherhood (attempted military putsch, embargo, manipulation of the value of the Turkish lira, blocking entry to the European Union, arming Greece and Kurdish terrorists, discreet funding of the opposition, etc.). For the Christian Zionist Brotherhood, political Islam must become a paradigm of fear in the world and above all in Muslim populations, which are often complex, naïve and ruled by leaders who are discreet little agents of certain lodges of Freemasonry.

In children¿s projective drawings, scribbles, doodles, random markings and iconographs (i.e., images or symbols) are used to represent a subject, theme or meaning of subconscious and/or unconscious thoughts and emotions not explicitly expressed. This is a special dictionary for those working with children and adolescents (and to some extent, adults, too) through their projective drawings to understand what is in their hidden minds. There are two main types of meanings that can be found and deciphered or interpreted from these projective drawings. The first type is the archetypal meanings, which refer to universal symbols and themes that are deeply ingrained in the human collective unconscious, such as the hero, the shadow, or the mother figure. The second type is the symbolic meanings. They, on the other hand, are specific interpretations associated with individual symbols or elements in the drawing, often shaped by personal experiences and cultural influences. These two types of meanings can offer insights into a drawer¿s emotions, thoughts, and unconscious desires.

This book examines the two International Framework Agreements (IFAs 2002, 2009) of AngloGold Ashanti in Ghana, a subsidiary of the global mining giant, AngloGold Ashanti (AGA). AGA is the sole mining company in Africa to have signed an IFA. These agreements have become institutionalized as innovative and necessary instruments for global governance and business globalization. The study investigates the effectiveness of such agreements, focusing on the awareness, knowledge, understanding, their relevance and functionality. The research was conducted within the theoretical framework of sociology of law, which posits that such agreements should produce specific effects and shape social behavior in a predetermined and socially appropriate manner. The results revealed a lack of awareness and knowledge regarding IFAs, leading to a lack of appreciation for them. More importantly, these agreements were found to be non-functional. This highlights the need for local and national unions to receive support from their global counterparts in addressing the challenges of international labor standards. Advancements in this area will enhance the relevance and functionality of IFAs in Africa.
