The consumption of functional foods and particularly those with probiotics has increased in recent years. Most of the available products are dairy-based, while the development of plant-based probiotic foods is very scarce. Minimally processed fruits with added probiotics are an innovative alternative to meet the needs of vegan or lactose intolerant consumers. In particular, the incorporation of probiotics and prebiotic compounds in edible coatings of fresh-cut fruits is a strategy to enhance nutritional intake and beneficial health effects. The aim of the study was to analyse the application of alginate coatings enriched with prebiotic compounds, carrying the probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus for the formulation of ready-to-eat blueberries. The results indicated that the addition of prebiotics improved the viability of L. rhamnosus in the functional food, whose shelf life was 14 d. L. rhamnosus incorporated into the fruits had a significant antagonistic effect by reducing the counts of an indicator pathogen (Listeria innocua) inoculated.

In the face of the hegemony of the communication monopolies that have historically made invisible the problems of the popular sectors in Ecuador and the region, heterogeneous expressions of popular and alternative communication have been configured in Latin America since the mid-1950s with the objective of disputing the dominant discourse. Currently, there is a need to build new communicational processes articulated with the dynamics of collective action and organization of various social actors. In this context, the proposal of the Network of Popular Spokespersons of Quito (RVPQ) arises in 2016, which proposes the creation of communication spaces and integrates young people from rural parishes of the capital in alternative communication processes that are constituted as tools for collective empowerment. This project aims to innovate conceptually by complexifying the analysis of popular communication in Ecuador and its relationship with rural contexts and youth organizational processes.

While the diagnosis is based on physical examination, interrogation and an X-ray of the affected limb.The treatment will depend on the type of fracture and its location, among other factors such as age, comorbidities. Most fractures are treated surgically which consist of osteosynthesis or arthroplasty.

Cette étude examine l'existence d'une relation de causalité entre la sécurité, les dépenses militaires et la gouvernance dans 21 pays du sahel et frontaliers en Afrique sur la période 2012-2021. La procédure utilisée pour l'analyse se base sur le test de causalité en panel de Granger (1969) et Dumitrescu et Hurlin (2012). Les données utilisées proviennent de la base de données de Banque Mondiale et de Mo Ibrahim. Les statistiques indiquent une corrélation positive entre la sécurité la gouvernance et une corrélation négative entre les dépenses militaires et la sécurité. Les résultats révèlent aussi une causalité entre la sécurité et la gouvernance, la conformité du pouvoir exécutif à la constitution, les changements constitutionnels de pouvoir, les dépenses militaires, l'accès à la téléphonie mobile, l'accès à l'internet. Ces résultats suggèrent que les pays sahéliens adoptent une politique de sécurité communautaire axée sur la consolidation de la paix et les principes de la gouvernance démocratique, l'amélioration de la conformité du pouvoir exécutif à la constitution et aux changements constitutionnels de pouvoir et investissent dans le développement des TIC.

Educational failure and early school dropout rates in our country currently present us with a rather bleak picture. Educational success programs focused on additional reinforcement in the linguistic-mathematical area and measures to address the diversity of students do not seem to be enough. The educational classroom, primarily the upper secondary level, due to its interdisciplinary, intercultural and personal and collective identity character, requires specific attention to these personal intelligences. The integration of the different multiple intelligences in the school curriculum will allow us to use materials, strategies and activities that are adapted to the individuality of the student, which will allow us to attend to their diversity, giving the student a leading role in the teaching-learning process and attending to their human development. In addition, it will provide the teacher with tools to identify the strengths and the way of learning of each student, favoring the development of thinking skills and the application of these skills to the curriculum and to the student's life outside the classroom.

A descriptive observational study was carried out, belonging to the quantitative research methodology, with the objective of characterizing the social support networks that older adults located in the Casa de Abuelos of the municipality of Camajuaní, Villa Clara province (Cuba) have during 2016. Theoretical and empirical methods were used to obtain the results. As results, it was obtained that older adults belong mostly to the stage of senescence, male sex and widowed; characteristics that according to literature are associated to institutional income. According to the frequency of contacts established with them, the institution constitutes their main support network. From their perception, the elderly refer to living in a family environment with disharmonious relationships among the members, which generates difficulties for the full transmission of the different forms of support. The elderly point to the Grandparents' House as the network with the highest frequency of contacts. The institution constitutes their instrumental, informational, spiritual and emotional support. They are pleased with their stay in the institution to a large extent by their peers.

Previous studies carried out in the Simões Filho region have shown that the population reports various inconveniences due to the presence of dust, which there are indications comes from industrial and vehicular activities and may consist mainly of particulate matter. Given this scenario, the aim of this study was to carry out dispersion studies, using the AERMOD view and CALRoads view software, to understand the dynamics of the spread of particulate matter smaller than 2.5 micrometres (MP2.5) in the atmosphere of Simões Filho (SF) - BA of vehicular origin, due to traffic on the BR-324 and BA-093 motorways in the municipality studied, and of industrial origin, due to the presence of an Fe-Mn alloy electrosiderurgical industry, in order to predict the possible environmental and community impacts caused by automotive and industrial emissions in the region studied.

The purpose of this text is to provide a basic orientation to students, graduates and teacher-advisors of the different academic levels, mainly bachelor's and master's degrees, regarding the general scientific-technical criteria for the elaboration of the project and thesis, which must comply with the requirements and conceptual, methodological and institutional protocols that support any research work, regardless of the profile of the thesis candidate.It is considered that this text will be of support in the generation of knowledge in the field of teaching and research, it will have fulfilled its purpose, if it orients and stimulates the elaboration of the project and the thesis of the reader in general, whether or not he/she has training in research methodology, whether recently graduated or not, and it increases the possibilities of reducing the methodological rework.

Granite quarrying in the Commune d'Ampangabe is still an artisanal activity, yet it provides a livelihood for local communities. Field observation followed by surveys of local stakeholders, as well as studies of the quarry's environmental and socio-economic impact on the region, are among the means used to carry out this research. The results show that quarrying activities have a number of environmental impacts, including air emissions and soil and water pollution. This activity is also responsible for the destruction of vegetation cover and the modification of the topographical landscape. Nevertheless, it was noted that there is a lack of understanding of these problems. Workers at the sites surveyed often point out that they are in a very precarious socio-economic situation and are concerned about their survival. Indeed, the results have shown that gravel production is a job-creating activity and a source of income for impoverished families in the region. However, despite the socio-economic benefits offered by the granite quarry, environmental degradation is a major concern.

This paper aims to be a contribution to the research on the link between digital platforms, the sociality configured in them, and the forms of politicization that are articulated in these public spaces. The normative framework that regulates digital communication is studied in order to contribute to the discussion from a perspective that considers the rights associated with access to information and communication. The proposal is to carry out an analysis of social movements and political organizations in order to evaluate new modes of organization and collective action that contribute to institutional development within the framework of citizen participation and respect for democratic development. In this sense, the need for a democratic and participatory control of digital platforms, understood as new spaces for the formation and articulation of public opinion, today mostly regulated by private interests and algorithms that function as a "black box" supposedly neutral but necessarily biased, is highlighted.

In today's society, a common factor experienced by most human beings is stress. Stress poses a real or imagined threat to a person's physical and psychological integrity. This is why its study is so important. Stress is modulated by many factors and affects human cognitive abilities such as memory. A state related to the physiology of stress is emotion. Emotion can affect the direction of the stress response by increasing or decreasing it, which in turn interferes with the memory of the stimuli already studied. The interplay between these three constructs (stress, emotion and memory) is particularly complex. Therefore, research is often aimed at studying stress, emotion or memory separately. However, in everyday life, we automatically mix these three concepts without being able to separate their sensations or experiences. For this reason, this book will shed light on the possible relationship between these three states by reviewing the most important scientific findings to date.

Since Algeria's ratification of this convention, numerous activities have been carried out to improve the management of these sites and enhance their value through management plans, inventories and ongoing monitoring of their ecological dynamics. The Moving Average is very common in the area of time series analysis, mainly for analysing changes in stock market values. In this work, the Moving Average will be used in another context, to mitigate errors in pedestrian tracking results in video surveillance. The HOG feature extraction technique and the SVM classifier were used to detect pedestrians. For our analysis, we used the database provided by the University of Edinburgh's CAVIAR (Context Aware Vision using Image-based Active Recognition) project. The results were positive, especially when the pedestrians moved vertically in the scene in the database used.

Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience (VAE) is a system designed to recognize and enhance the skills acquired by individuals throughout their career. Influence of social participation in the process of community-based rehabilitation in people with disabilities in the municipality of Trinidad. The research question is: How does social participation influence the process of community-based rehabilitation in three children with physical disabilities infantile cerebral palsy in the La Niña area of the municipality of Trinidad? In this sense, it is proposed to implement social participation in the process of Community Based Rehabilitation for three children with physical disability infantile cerebral palsy in the area of La Niña Autónoma in the municipality of Trinidad. The methodology used was Action-Participant Research because it required the active participation of the researcher and the whole socio-cultural environment.

The Denomination of Origin is a label that establishes specific requirements in terms of quality and commercialization, which can influence the industrialization and global recognition of these crops. The importance of the study lies in its ability to statistically analyze how commercial and productive dynamics affect social, economic and environmental aspects, transforming communities in the process. Differences in Tequila and Mezcal Agave Production: No significant differences were observed in the production of tequila agave with and without denomination of origin in the years 2019 and 2020, for the year 2021, significant differences were found in the production of tequila agave with and without denomination of origin, in the case of mezcal agave, significant differences were observed in the production with denomination of origin in the year 2019, but not in the years 2020 and 2021.

This is not yet the case for the Democratic Republic of Congo. The provision of safe drinking water and sanitation facilities has long been a key concern for development players in the Sahel. As a result, initiatives have been launched in Burkina Faso to develop this sector and meet the needs of rural and urban populations. In rural areas, however, the situation is still worrying, hence the focus on the commune of Bieha, whose villages are experiencing difficulties with drinking water and sanitation supplies. The general objective of the study is to examine the conditions for improving access to drinking water and family sanitation facilities in the commune of Bieha. The methodology used to carry out the study consisted firstly of documentary research, followed by the collection of quantitative and qualitative data from 186 households, and finally a phase of data processing and analysis. The results of the study reveal inadequate drinking water infrastructures, poor management of these infrastructures and weaknesses in the operation of the WUAs.
