If we stop to think about the changes that education has undergone in recent years, we see that emphasis has been placed on the specific contents of each subject, adapting them to the needs of technological and cultural changes. In most educational institutions, the successful student is the one who stands out for his or her grades, and at a social level, good grades are the gateway to the labor market. However, training in content is not enough without taking into account education in values. My experience has allowed me to observe that neither in most of the Institutional Educational Projects nor in the teachers' planning is the teaching of values contemplated, and in those cases in which it is, it is not specified how to put it into practice. The purpose of this work is to provide managers and teachers with an instrument to put into practice the teaching of values in middle school.

The development of this research arises from the concern from the experience as students, considering the need for new spaces, in which to interact not only with the language of a country but also with its culture and even with speakers; since it is considered important to have an approach to the language from all possible points. The opportunity to interact with other cultures allows and promotes intercultural learning.

The Chilean salmon industry is one of the few successful cases of industrial policies developed by Chile. Its brief historical process has motivated many academics to investigate the reasons for its success, but also for its failures. In practice, there is no single way of structuring a productive activity. However, companies, based on the knowledge they acquire and develop, articulate themselves in the most optimal way possible, generating trends within the activity. In this book, the author delves into aspects related to the way in which the industry was organized from its beginnings to the most recent times, concentrating on the phenomenon of vertical integration as an explanatory factor of its behavior over time.

This book examines the legal nature and contribution of land registration to the process of securing land ownership in French-speaking black Africa in general, and in Mali in particular. It analyzes the historical framework of land registration through its evolution (from 1865 to 1955 and from 1960 to 2020) and its contribution to securing land ownership in Africa, particularly in Mali, thanks to legal and jurisdictional mechanisms guaranteeing land ownership. It highlights the plural logics and legal mechanisms underlying registration in a context marked by the commodification of land and the prevalence of customary land rights. At the end of the research, the study reveals that registration is one of the remarkable institutions linked to the colonial heritage and which have been perpetuated by the post-colonial African state in its land legislation. However, it can only achieve this objective by reconciling the imperatives of legal security with Mali's customary land rights, to which local populations are still attached.

The anatomical characteristics of the pelvic fasciae, together with individual variations, ontogenetic and functional development, and in some cases related to a certain pathology, have caused them to be interpreted and described differently by anatomists of great prestige and technical skills. As Casiraghi says, it cannot be affirmed which of the known descriptions is the true one or the one that is closest to the truth, so we must incline, starting from proven anatomical formations, to the simplest, most logical interpretation, and to the one of greater surgical and functional interest. The present work is based on functional regional dynamics.

The brachial plexus (BP) is a nerve structure made up of the roots of the cervical (C5, C6, C7, C8) and thoracic (T1) spinal nerves, whose function is to innervate the entire length of the upper limb (UL). Injuries to the BP have serious consequences for quality of life, affecting the motor and sensory performance of the affected segment, leading to direct impairment of functional abilities. Brachial plexus injuries (BPI) can be categorised into two forms: traumatic and neonatal. Obstetric brachial palsy is defined as an injury to the brachial plexus at birth. The injury is caused by stretching of the nerve trunks or root avulsion, and can be classified as Erb-Duchenne palsy (high palsy), which involves the C5-C6 roots, or Klumpke palsy, which involves the C8 to T1 roots. Children affected by Obstetric Brachial Palsy (OBP) generally neglect the affected side and start using the unaffected limb more often.

This work is the result of a master's research project presented in 2007 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR). It deals with approaches to theories, the education of the Greek world based on the principles of paideia expressed by Plato in The Republic, whose foundations are based on "eleutheros", "arete", "aletheia" and "diké", in other words freedom, virtue, truth and justice, and the utopian ideals of Ernest Block's dialectic of hope, which stimulated thinking and the search for dreams that could be realised, humanising social utopias. These theories underpin the ideas of Freire's pedagogy in the struggle for freedom and justice driven by utopia founded on the hope of a better life in a society dominated by freedom, in which man re-educated by the principles of "arete", "aletheia" and "diké" is responsible for his own destiny, that the principle of utopia nourishes the paidéia so that hope through the word directs the oppressed towards their freedom.

The development of mathematical logical thinking is that capacity that allows understanding the relationships given in the surrounding world and makes it possible to quantify them, formalize them in order to better understand them and be able to communicate them. Consequently, this form of thinking translates into the use and management of cognitive processes such as: reasoning, demonstrating, arguing, interpreting, identifying, relating, graphing, calculating, inferring, performing algorithms and modeling in general and, like any other form of thinking development, it is susceptible to learning. In this order of ideas, in the fifth grade of the San Pedro Claver Educational Institution, there is a problem in relation to the development of mathematical logical thinking.That is why it is necessary to analyze the benefits generated by the use of multimedia didactic resources as strategies within the educational environment, all this justified by the need to promote the development of mathematical logical thinking.

Radon is recognized as the natural source of greatest human exposure and the main cause of lung cancer incidence, with the exception of tobacco. This cross-sectional study of radon exposure in thermal establishments was carried out in two data collection campaigns involving a total of 17 thermal establishments located in mainland Portugal (45% participation rate) with a total of 309 workers (46% participation rate), and was conducted between 2013 and 2015. Measurements were taken to assess the dose rate of gamma radiation, total gamma radiation, radon concentration in the water and radon concentration in the indoor air of the thermal establishments. The results indicate that spa workers are exposed to radon levels inside the workplace buildings that are higher than the reference levels set out in the legislation.

Out of a total of 26766 pack and draft equids owned by Mexican farmers, which received free veterinary service, 90 tumor masses were diagnosed in horses, 49 in donkeys, 38 in mules and one in hinnies. 103 tumors were surgically removed and sent to the pathology laboratory of the FMVZ of the UNAM for definitive diagnosis. The most frequently found neoplasm was sarcoid, donkeys were the species that presented the most tumors, followed by horses and finally acemillas, none were diagnosed in hinnies. As for sex, donkeys and mules were the most affected, mares were less affected.

The "eradication of poverty" is one of the main objectives of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, which took place in Rio de Janeiro from June 20 to 22, 2012. We can put an end to extreme poverty in our lifetime. Since 1990, the number of people living in extreme poverty on Earth has been halved. But there are still 767 million people living on less than $1.90 a day. Governments have pledged to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger by 2030. Agricultural investment has been and still is an effective approach. But it is not the only one. The FAO puts the fight against rural poverty in a broader perspective. Wealth is the value of all the assets held (patrimony) by an economic agent (household, individual, nation, etc.), which can either be generated by income or capital gains, or acquired by bequest or donation. This manuscript aims to provide an overview of poverty, poverty solutions and wealth.

The increased interest in non-medicinal methods of action to correct impaired hemorheological, immune and other types of disorders in gynecologic diseases is quite justified. In the midst of national discussions about the trivialization of imprisonment and the premature incarceration of a specific fraction of society, the work addresses the institute of pre-trial detention, as a criminal procedural precaution, and the repercussions of the legislative omission regarding its duration, which inevitably culminates in an offense against the human rights of those subjected to criminal prosecution. The problem begins with the necessary differentiation between prison sentences and pre-trial detention (provisional in nature), and the incoherence of a time limit laid down by law only for that which only exists after a final and unappealable criminal sentence has been passed. To highlight the latent contradiction, the author delves into international examples (Portugal, Italy, Germany, etc.) to highlight the state's intangible responsibility to regulate pre-trial detention, under penalty of institutionalizing an illegitimate punitive instrument that violates human rights, bordering on the enmity of those who usually suffer from presumed guilt (rather than innocence) and suffer the neglect of public institutions in the most deplorable way: in prison.

Surrogacy as a variant of Assisted Reproduction Techniques has originated conflicts that are generated because we do not have a regulatory framework that is responsible for foreseeing and regulating the conflicts that may arise as a result of the use and application of Surrogacy as a technique of assisted reproduction, so it is urgent to have laws that adapt to the changes arising as a result of the evolution of technology and science through Genetics, The laws have to adapt to the social context in which we live, the fact of continuing ignoring this type of situations generates defenselessness on the part of the people who use Surrogate Motherhood as an alternative to be parents without any legal security, this regulatory vacuum originated by the absence of a law that is responsible for properly regulating the procedure of this technique that has been practiced and currently its use has increased considerably affecting not only the people who practice it but the family and society.

The advances that have taken place in the field of human genetics have revolutionized our understanding of the role of genetic factors in human health and in the origin of diseases. They are highly valuable tools for the design of new strategies for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. We propose a strategy to achieve excellence in the Genetic Counseling (GA) services, starting from the study of the indicators of the genetics program from 2001 - 2006, and evaluating the behavior of its effectiveness, also involving ethical and bioethical aspects, in the municipality of San Cristóbal. As a result of our work, there is an improvement in the coverage indicators of the genetics programs, but it is still below 100%. There is a high percentage in the classification of B in the parameter level of knowledge, which measures the effectiveness of genetic counseling, a high percentage of respondents are satisfied with the Genetic Counseling. The proposed strategies are aimed at achieving excellence in Genetic Counseling in the San Cristobal Municipality.

Faced with the emergence of new communication tools, contemporary advertising has had to adapt to a new reality and reinvent itself in order to meet the communication needs of advertisers and better persuade target audiences through planning, advertising creativity and media integration. Under this scenario, the integration of BTL and ATL strategies within the same campaign is shown as the most viable option when planning and executing today's advertising activity. This study, through participant observation and in-depth interviews, characterizes the nature and particularities of the planning process and integral creativity of an advertising campaign, which combines ATL and BTL advertising in the same attempt through the case of the "Baron of the gizzards", through which the integration of these advertisements in an advertising campaign is described.

The theme of this book is Mocinha and her representation as a symbol of the significance of the memory of the popular festival, the Jaguarão Carnival. The aim is to record fragments of the trajectory and history of María Cezarina Cardozo, known as "Mocinha", and her work with the Estrela D'alva carnival school, where she was the main figure after joining. The data used here is mainly based on oral information as a source of material. It primarily captures the cultural immateriality of this relationship and how it developed alongside Mocinha's posture of resistance, thus influencing the maintenance of Jaguarão's street carnival and how some of these interactions took place in everyday life, contributing to the transformation and maintenance of the event. The story of Maria Cezarina Cardozo, Mocinha, and the Estrela D'alva School, which merge with each other and remain alive, reflects on the posture of resistance in maintaining a cultural manifestation by adapting to the changes in street carnival, thus characterising the protagonisation of an iconic role in Jaguarão's carnival scene and its cultural manifestations.

Based on the dialectical analysis of expedient activity, the market economy is presented as a complex nonlinear system organized according to the network principle, like many other systems of animate and inanimate nature. The economy in a specific form manifests the universal laws of the universe, which are studied by synergetics. This allows us to see many known phenomena of economics in an unusual light and to discover in them what cannot be discovered by standard methods of orthodox theory. The monograph presents a system of concepts, on the basis of which a fundamentally new interpretation is given of how the market economy functions and how it develops, starting from its inception and up to the present time. It is shown that the external chaos of economic life hides behind the ordered, deep structures that provide self-regulation of a competitive market economy. Like all living systems, the economy evolves, resulting in monopolization and financialization of the economy. Over time, this leads to the loss of its ability to self-regulate. The role of centralization increases. It becomes necessary to search for methods to regulate the very processes of self-regulation.

The projects that are aimed at vulnerable populations such as the elderly makes a society aware that development is not only to generate an optimal economy but also to ensure the welfare of the most neglected and forgotten that this way you can get to support a more humanistic development where everyone has the same rights and opportunities.

The purpose of this research has been to analyze information extracted from official sources regarding accounts, financial indicators of small private banks and macroeconomic indexes of Ecuador since the adoption of the US dollar as the national currency in order to determine which factors are most related to the economic and financial profitability of small banks. Through a panel data analysis using Ordinary Least Squares with fixed effects and random effects. The results showed that time deposits, gross portfolio, leverage levels and financial intermediation are internal factors that influence the profitability of small banks. Macroeconomic factors associated with profitability measures include the inflation rate and annual gross domestic product.
