Concern about environmental issues prompted this work, with a special focus on environmental damage in the face of the law and the ability to assess this damage. The parties must adopt measures to foresee, avoid or minimise the causes of environmental changes and mitigate their negative effects. When threats of serious or irreversible damage arise, taking into account that the policies and measures adopted to tackle climate change must be cost-effective in order to ensure global benefits. In recent years, Brazilian and foreign legal doctrine has become more intense in addressing problems linked to damage caused to the environment and to artistic, aesthetic, historical, tourist and landscape values. In various parts of the world, including Brazil, soils contaminated with toxic metals need to be remediated, and programmes for this purpose include strategies for mitigating phytotoxicity and selecting plants that are tolerant to excess metals. The Brazilian Cerrado thus demonstrates that it has plants that can help us in the process of soil decontamination, which is a long and very expensive process.

Despite its powerful legal framework, the publishing contract still gives cause for concern. Like many agreements, publishing contracts place the contracting parties in a position of relative inequality. The stronger party is obviously the publisher, in his professional capacity, vis-à-vis the author, who is naturally the weaker party to the contract. The latter is not only weak because of his dependence on his publisher, but also for many other reasons. These include the author's presumed lack of knowledge and experience in the publishing field, or his or her almost desperate desire to be published by a professional in the field, which may result in the publisher acting in bad faith, manifesting itself through certain abusive maneuvers, with the sole aim of benefiting exclusively and as much as possible from the patrimonial advantages relating to the author's work. It is these considerations that lead us to examine the protection of authors in publishing contracts under Ivorian law.

Plants that are phytosedentary have built up over the millennia a resistome capable of perpetuating their life in the globosphere. This resistome, whether transmissible or not, defines lasting resilience. The knowledge of the passive or active action of the vertical or horizontal aspect of the resistance, will allow to better explain the origin of the defense mechanism apart from the general view of the R gene and to understand in a transmissibility the new nature of the neo-resistance put in place, either by adaptation or by heritability.

The aim of the research is to analyse the literary work showing the individual marked by the environment and the possible consequences that can influence their behaviour. In this dialogue between literature and science, the work analysed presents a case of the pathological temperament of a woman who is totally given over to an illness or to the fatality of not allowing herself to be tamed by the needs of nature. From a literary and psychoanalytical perspective, the work studies the catastrophic situations generated by the influence of the environment on the individual, generating the neurosis that characterises the protagonist in her journey between delirium, reverie and madness; denoting a typically naturalistic stance in valuing animal instincts. Literary and psychoanalytical bibliographical studies have shown that the female figure in the novel represents a physical organism entirely dominated by physiological and mental laws. Thus, naturalist literature manages to fulfil the particularities of scientism by showing the stages of psychic degradation to the extent that the human mind can be distorted by the environment.

The most developed societies, and those with the greatest impact, are those that are educated, make economic rationality predominate in their decisions and act as if the environment were an inexhaustible source of resources. Overcoming the crisis requires a cultural change and the transition to sustainable development depends on the changes that governments and society as a whole implement, which require education and public awareness actions. Education for sustainable development is to create a consensus on the formation of a conscious global citizenship.

Strengthen ethno-cultural trade with the identity of the people through a humanistic and inclusive education, responding to their interests and needs of their environment, articulating solidarity, as appropriate measures in the solution of everyday problems or conflicts of education and learning in diversity, boosting their economy. In particular, to promote handicraft activities in order to boost rural commerce; at the same time, to encourage people to maintain their cultural identity.

The study of the knowledge, attitudes and practices of mothers of EPI target children on Adverse Events Post Immunization in the city of KANANGA was conducted in JUNE 2022; this descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out through a prospective survey of women with children in the 0-11 months age group (main age for vaccination against preventable diseases). The main findings were as follows: - 184 women, i.e. 43.6%, said they had received information on MAPI, while 238 women, i.e. 56.4%, said they had not; and in relation to the attitude of mothers of EPI-targeted children towards the onset of adverse events following immunization;- 173 women, i.e. 41%, said they had experienced a few cases of severity in their children, while 249 mothers, i.e. 59%, said they had not;- With regard to practices in the event of post-immunization adverse events, 166 mothers (39.3%) gave painkillers to their children, while 65 mothers (15.4%) took their children back to the health center.

This book has its genesis in the identification of the role of women as passive subjects of the criminal relationship within the Colombian armed conflict, and the need to vindicate their rights, which as will be addressed in the course of the reading is generated knowing the history, the consecration of the fundamental legal guarantees in the Political Constitution of Colombia, as well as the role that international guidelines, internal legislation and the judicial sector have contributed to the scene in the application of measures that lead to the effective respect of women's rights. However, although the march towards the path of vindication and the woman-justice relationship contains an important advance in current times, there is a critical need to build even more on the subject by involving education and civic culture in the process, since, as will be seen, it was the family that initially broke women, and now it is from there that all women who have been violated in the armed conflict will stop thinking that living without being violated is a disease.

Proposing a school project that is attentive to educational diversity assumes heterogeneous students in terms of: ability, competence, learning rhythms, learning styles, self-esteem, relationship skills, motivation, effort, family context. It is also a public policy purpose (Cfr. Education Sector Program, 2024. www.dof.gob.mx) has a vision and mission associated with a humanistic approach, the driving force of the challenge is equity in, by and for the schooling of students, as long as everyone learns without exclusion in which they coexist, from the diversity of its members and attention is paid to their needs. (Cfr. Álvarez, Aramburu and De León, 2013) It is reiterated that the concern for improving schooling conditions for students requires a reticular link between diagnosis-detection-implementation: like a game called "the broken telephone, whose members pass a message to the other side and this message must reach the end correctly".

Decision making in work environments has ultimate importance to reach common goals, but it is presented at different levels causing conflict between the ability to recognize possibilities and personal experiences. Decision-making is an action that requires, in addition to firmness, the courage to face the results presented, however, to face these paradigms, without worries, one must recognize the problems, identify possible actions and implement them according to the purpose. This study aimed to list the impact caused by decision-making intuitively and subjectively relating the end activities and demonstrate the obstacles that the environment brings.

Since 1993, Venezuela has joined the already long list of countries that include Value Added Tax (VAT) in their tax structure. As VAT is a tax on consumption, the tax burden falls more heavily on the lower income strata, and is therefore defined as a regressive tax. In order to mitigate the impact on the lower income strata, the tax has undergone several reforms since its inception, including changes to the list of exemptions and the tax rate. But these reforms have also been driven by political and economic reasons, mainly linked to the volatility of oil revenues. From the observation of the variables and facts, it is evident that in the modification of VAT rates, tax policy has been pro-cyclical, which is common behaviour in Latin American economies and other developing countries. In this context, three relevant questions arise: what is the distributive impact of VAT exemptions; what is the fiscal sacrifice that these exemptions represent for the state; and what is the opportunity cost of these resources?

This book discusses the concepts of emotional regulation and dysregulation. It focuses particularly on exploring some of the theoretical elaborations on which these terms have been based, their meeting point with the transdiagnostic approach and their relevance for mental health. In addition, two instruments are presented that are the product of the efforts of different authors in the quest to further develop this field of research. The two instruments discussed are the Cognitive Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ) and the Difficulties in Emotional Regulation Scale (DERS). Finally, some criticisms and issues to be explored regarding the concepts of emotional regulation and dysregulation in the field of clinical psychology are detailed.

The international legal system has placed persons with disabilities in a new position in which they are recognised as subjects capable of exercising personal and property rights on an equal footing with others, to the extent that their capacities allow them to do so. This normative change has meant a break with the old legal paradigm in which the categories of capacity - incapacity were absolute and one was either capable or incapable. Uruguay, as a subscriber to this international legal system, could not remain outside this process and, as a result, its Parliament passed Law No. 19.529 on Mental Health, which leaves behind a regulation that had been in force for more than 80 years and attempts to bring it into line with the International Conventions.

This research was carried out with the aim of gathering and listing the species that occur in the high altitude fields of Espírito Santo, Brazil, which have been collected by botanists over many years on field expeditions to these remote regions. We hope that this Checklist will facilitate new research and more efficient strategies for the conservation of these species, many of which are endemic and at risk of extinction due to the pressures of human development on their natural populations. We are certain today that the more we lose the floristic diversity of the mountains, the more vulnerable our ecosystem as a whole will become. This study was carried out during my undergraduate research under the guidance of researcher and doctor Gustavo Martinelli, who is currently the director in charge of the National Centre for Flora Conservation at the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden. A lot of research is being carried out and more and more models are being developed to understand and analyze the collective motion of a group of moving particles/cells. The main aim of this thesis is to extend Tamas Vicsek's model, introducing interactions between particles modeled by three different types of zone: These are the zone of repulsion, orientation and attraction. At each iteration step, the particles maintain an average direction of motion of neighboring particles with some random perturbation. Numerical results indicate that the radius of the repulsion/orientation zone plays a very important role in the movement of the flocks. By varying system parameters such as noise, density,.... Within the framework of this extended model, we find that our system undergoes a continuous phase transition in two-dimensional space. On the other hand, our simulation results show that the critical exponents found in the Tamas Viscek model are not universal, due to the effect of interaction zones.

The research studied childhood obesity as a problem within the scope of macromarketing, with the aim of identifying the factors that contribute to its growth and how these factors are configured between parents and children, in order to understand the behavioural influences of this context that are susceptible to social marketing interventions to change harmful behaviours. In general, the family, in the role of parents, is the preponderant factor in the prevalence of overweight. However, these actors, parents and children, are strongly influenced by the child's living environment (micro) and the external and social environment (macro). That said, based on the assumption that the study demonstrates in a systemic and systematic way how the behavioural factors influencing childhood obesity are configured, it is suggested that social marketing knowledge be used together with information on the real scenario of childhood obesity in Brazil to draw up effective and far-reaching public policies. It is hoped that the relationships between the factors and the delineation of how they are configured in the lives of those surveyed will serve as a governmental and social stimulus for behavioural change.

Thin films are coatings applied to substrates such as glass sheets, cellulose membranes, metals, among others. Different techniques can be used to form thin films. The main objective of this work is the instrumental development of equipment for forming thin films. To this end, a prototype capable of carrying out deposition using the dip coating technique was designed and built. Different thin film production tests were carried out to evaluate and compare it with commercial models. The results obtained showed that the equipment has desirable characteristics for forming thin films for research and development. In addition, its cost has been reduced by using recyclable parts, without loss of durability, it is easy to assemble and has other features that rival commercial models.

It has been observed that elderly patients are at greater risk of needing medical attention. The admission of a patient to healthcare institutions always involves a risk, regardless of the process for which he/she is admitted. According to Bennett (2014), the hospitalized person who falls, significantly increases morbidity and economic costs due to inherent complications. The research aims to identify the role of the nursing professional in preventing falls in hospitalized elderly patients. Life expectancy has increased so substantially in the world that in the next five years the number of people over 65 will exceed the number of children under 5, a social transformation that led the World Health Organization (WHO) to choose the theme "Active Aging" for World Health Day. To determine the role of the nursing staff in the prevention of falls in the hospitalized elderly patient. 2.To formulate recommendations aimed at promoting the prevention of falls in hospitalized patients.

The indigenous people have various cultural processes, including their way of collecting water for their consumption, which is done through shallow wells and with little care in their structure and maintenance, making their water of poor quality for human consumption, since the collection area is very close to their homes, without care for the level of the land, which can lead to contamination with rainwater, bringing animal waste to this well, thus increasing diarrhoeal outbreaks and other gastrointestinal problems throughout the population.

This book analyses Brazil and Russia in the context of sporting mega-events. In the field of International Relations, sport is hardly ever seen as a possibility for international ascension and the realisation of diplomatic interests. However, sporting mega-events have changed this perception, since they have been widely used by countries as an instrument of foreign policy, more specifically through soft power. They seek out these events with a view to playing a more prominent role on the world stage for a few days, in order to present their culture, their country, their power, their people or their identity. If on the one hand Brazil is seeking to become more assertive in the region, and perhaps in the future obtain a more prestigious position on the international stage, Russia is seeking to restore the country as a world superpower. It's very difficult for the event to instantly put the country on the international stage, but it undoubtedly serves to improve the country's image in the eyes of the world and put it on the path of the major powers.

Nowadays, consumers are increasingly looking for sustainability combined with convenience, comfort and security. Home automation aims to align these pillars, adopting integrated and autonomous systems to solve everyday problems and provide citizens with a better quality of life. Automated blinds were chosen as the subject of this work because they are one of the aspects of home automation, with the aim of saving energy, protecting movable property, convenience and privacy in the environment. The project develops a microcontrolled system to check the external brightness of the room and automatically open or close the angle of the blinds. In addition to this functionality, the project provides vertical opening and closing of the slats via remote control, both of which optimise the ambient light inside the building. At the end of the project, it is clear that it is possible to combine convenience and sustainability at an affordable price, with low maintenance costs.

Research from an interdisciplinary perspective is something that delights us, because we can immerse and emerge, give and seek, erase and rewrite, re-signify a point from different points of life, pick from different orchards in search of a hybrid and powerful fruit, full of reading possibilities. So researching music motivated us, because music is a social manifestation that represents its time, culture, uses and customs of a society that is sung and told through this art form. And it was through this that we found forró. As a musical manifestation and cultural component of the Northeast of Brazil, forró has attributes of a Northeasternness that has been re-signified since the 1940s, as have the symbolic representations of women sung by this musical style. Thus, we look at the female gender and its corporeality enunciated in electronic forró and present in this book youth representations from the media reception of this northeasternly potent dance, music, party and culture.

After the experience of two radical and absolute dictatorships, such as the fascist dictatorship in Germany and the communist dictatorship in Russia, the world political landscape has shifted, at least in its official discourse, towards participatory governments. The predominance of this form of political organisation is largely due to the hegemonic role that the United States of America has acquired in the international arena, as a consequence of the collapse of the systems of government that were presented as an alternative to the democracy it advocates. However, despite the prestige gained by American democracy over the last seventy years, the 2016 presidential elections in the United States have made the international community reflect on its shortcomings and contradictions, as well as question its goodness. It is in the context of this panorama of disenchantment and doubt that this paper is developed, with the aim of analysing all the vices and defects that are present in "modern democracy", taking Donald Trump's political campaign as a paradigmatic example.

This book is part of the report for the project entitled "Sustainable Action Plan: Implementation of sustainable production systems in the Umari River community", Call for Proposals No. 5 subcomponent 2.3 Community Integration. The story began with the simple proposal of a project for a call for proposals for actions to minimise conflicts between people and the management of conservation units in the Amazon. Over the course of its implementation, the project became the discovery of a universe hidden in the middle of the forest with its own dynamics of existence. The greatest product of this study is more difficult to describe, perhaps it is the light of knowledge shed on the community and the managers. The people of the community, in different ways and depths, now feel that they can be active players with the power to change, rights and also responsibilities. Immersion in the community has shown us that the problem is much bigger than simply breaking an article of law or a territorial boundary. There is a community made up of a diversity of people who are simplistically labelled "extractivists", who are crying out for help.

The use of alcohol and other drugs is a worldwide problem, and has become a major concern and the target of social, political, psychological and scientific studies. A drug is any substance that is not produced by the body and which, when consumed, causes changes in the functioning of some of its systems. Drugs have always been present in people's lives, since ancient times, and their use has expanded and changed over the years. A distinction had to be made between the use and abuse of psychoactive substances in order to better meet the emerging demand. As a result, there was a need to create laws and public policies aimed at some kind of treatment and monitoring, ranging from a total ban on the use of psychoactive substances to the release of some of them, and harm reduction was brought in as an alternative. And it was through the Psychiatric Reform that began around 1970 that the debate on changes in the mental health sector significantly increased, thus allowing the construction of a new public policy on drugs.

The scope of this work is to analyse working hours that exceed the normal working day and how such hours tend to affect the worker's fundamental right to leisure. This work also demonstrates the issue of habitual overtime, limitations on the working day and the right to leisure, showing leisure in various aspects and especially detailing its status as a social right in the Brazilian legal system. The aim is to explain the applicability of the right to leisure in labour relations, its importance in the economic and social spheres, as well as to present some data on the impact that excessive overtime has on the Brazilian economy and society.

In this research we analysed the degree of luminosity of two classrooms with different types of luminaires and assessed whether they comply with current technical standards and the importance of good lighting for performance in the activities proposed in classrooms, as well as the consequences of poor quality lighting and proposals for improvements. The importance of FERISAF for the fairground workers and their families transcends the productive and commercialization aspect; there is a strong social, symbolic, political and cultural component that has been identified through the possibilities, knowledge and learning that they have been incorporating through their participation in it. For this reason, FERISAF constitutes the social, economic, political and cultural space in which an organized group of fairground workers, directly and without intermediaries, market, under the principles of fair trade, family farming products in a more favorable way for their domestic economies, through the collaboration and cooperation of the other members of the family.

With ageing, the human body undergoes a period of transformation that leads to a decline in some physical capacities, such as a decrease in flexibility, agility, coordination, joint mobility and balance, compromising the functional capacity of the elderly, which is fundamental for carrying out activities of daily living. The practice of physical exercise is fundamental to improving the functional capacity of the elderly, particularly with proprioceptive exercises, which are emerging in recent studies with the elderly.
