In an international context marked by strong demand for various minerals, notably: gold, aluminum, cassiterite, diamonds, cobalt, iron, wolframite, Coltan, etc., and with supply struggling to meet demand, due to political instability in certain producing countries (South Africa, DRC, India, CAR, etc.), we are witnessing a spectacular rise in prices T. MESMIN, (2015).The town of Kailo, one of the mining towns in Maniema province, still has deposits that are currently mined on an artisanal basis. Mining is the main activity of the local population. This exploitation is causing enormous damage to the environment.

Bacterial resistance to antibiotics has become one of the major threats facing the global community. It can result either from mutations or from the acquisition of resistance genes carried by mobile (plasmids, transposons, insertion sequences) or mobilizable (integrons) genetic elements. The aim of this book is to provide an overview of the main resistance mechanisms encountered in both Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli) and Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus). Benin is a country in West Africa. It has many socio-cultural groups with different culinary practices. With globalization and modernity, these ancestral practices are disappearing. The present work analyzes the possibility of gaining a better understanding of these disappearing dishes by introducing them onto the menu of modern restaurants. The methodological approach we adopted for this work is based on survey, documentary research and experimentation. Between strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities, a major challenge lies ahead for the development of this local sauce: VLAKPA sauce. The introduction of this sauce on modern restaurant menus could lead to poverty reduction through large-scale production of white catfish in several regions of the country. This will have a positive impact on the country's economy, and on people's standard of living.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a chronic, progressive neurodegenerative disorder affecting millions of people worldwide. It is characterized by a progressive loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra region of the brain, which affects movement and can cause a range of physical and cognitive symptoms.While the main motor symptoms of PD, such as tremor, rigidity and bradykinesia, are well known, the disease can also present a range of non-motor symptoms, including oral manifestations.Oral manifestations in PD patients can include a variety of problems related to the oral cavity, teeth and gums. Several studies have suggested that the prevalence of oral manifestations in PD is high, with some estimates suggesting that up to 80% of PD patients may experience these symptoms.The exact causes of these manifestations in PD patients are not well understood, but several factors are thought to contribute to their development.

Divergent theme in the doctrine is the possibility of accountability in the criminal sphere of the legal person. Such a situation demands a deep study. The present work will analyse the criminal liability of the legal person, emphasising the applicable criminal sanctions.

The growing global industrial activity and the absence of effective waste management programs cause waste to be generated without proper disposal and provide a liability. Moreover, in the description of a solid waste, the identification of the pollutants that compose it must have technical basis and be established according to its raw materials, inputs and generating process. In civil construction it is necessary to maximize the reuse of resources and to employ renewable or recyclable sources, and it is indispensable to know about waste classification. The evaluated the procedure to classify samples of solid waste originated in demolition and civil construction - RDCC through leaching and solubilization tests. The work was based on the standards of the Brazilian Technical Standards Association ABNT NBR 10004:2004 and 10005:2004. The ions analyzed in the solutions obtained were chloride, Fe, Mn and Pb. The results showed that it cannot be classified as inert because the lead concentration in the solubilized extract exceeded the limit allowed by the standard. This methodology is viable for such classification.

Today, it is known and accepted worldwide on a scientific and human level that the negative impacts of climate change are sources of economic and ecological disruption, degrading people's living conditions. This truth is difficult to accept, especially for populations in developing countries, where poverty limits the means of action available to cope with the multiple negative impacts of climate change: -desertification, reduction of mangroves and other spawning grounds, loss of arable land and other pastures; - salinization of waters, reduction or inadequate availability of water for irrigation and drinking and other productive activities. As Senegal is a poor country, where rural populations live intensely in poverty, there is a need for a better understanding of climate change, in order to develop measures to adapt to this vulnerability.

Many compounds, such as pesticides and certain plastics products, are suspected of being endocrine disruptors, i.e. "exogenous agents that interfere with the production, release, transport, metabolism, binding, action or elimination of natural hormones responsible for maintaining homeostasis and regulating the body's development", according to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).The imbalance between the production of free radicals and their elimination systems leads to disorders of various organs, most notably those of the male reproductive system.In terms of reprotoxicity, our results revealed a reduction in the viability and motility of human spermatozoa, and an increase in the mitochondrial membrane potential (¿¿m) of human sperm.Our findings on the efficacy of Eruca sativa enabled us to determine its antioxidant power against free radical attack, thanks to its rich phenolic compound content, which acts as a scavenger of oxy-radicals.

The health of the elderly is a complex and challenging issue, especially when it comes to managing multiple health conditions. They often require ongoing pharmacological treatments and may use multiple medications at the same time. Drug interactions pose a significant challenge in contemporary clinical practice. With the frequent use of multiple medications by patients, the chances of interactions occurring that may affect efficacy, safety, and therapeutic outcome increase. These interactions can occur in a variety of ways, involving changes in drug absorption, metabolism, distribution, or elimination. In addition, individual patient characteristics, such as age, health conditions, and concomitant medication use, can influence the potential for drug interactions.

Medicinal plants are currently attracting a great deal of interest due to the large number of bioactive molecules they contain. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the anti-inflammatory activity of polyphenols from the aromatic plant Salvia officinalis, through a comparative analysis of the results obtained from numerous previous studies. The results of these studies revealed that extracts from this plant are rich in polyphenols, with different levels depending on the region to which it belongs. Numerous studies have demonstrated the anti-inflammatory effect of this plant in vivo, with a significant reduction in carrageenan-induced oedema, andin vitro, with inhibition of protein denaturation and a protective effect against red cell membrane haemolysis. These results confirm the traditional use of this plant to treat inflammatory diseases.

If we intend to generate a real change in the economic model of production and implement a well-founded circular economy, in which the components of reduce, reuse and recycle are considered, it is essential to develop a system that ensures proper classification and quantification of agricultural waste and by-products, prioritizing products with a greater margin of production at the national level to identify the highest levels of utilization and production linked to biomaterials or their derivatives related to research, development and innovation in the context of the bioeconomy.One of the most serious problems for both Ecuadorian agriculture and the agroindustrial sector is the excess of waste generated, but above all the inadequate utilization of such waste. Sugar mucilage is wasted in the process of aerobic and anaerobic fermentation of the cocoa bean. This sugary organic matter (9060 tons of mucilage per year) generates waste and pollution for the cocoa sector, a by-product that can be used to produce alcohol or other agro-industrial products such as organic herbicides, jellies or jams.

Faced with the threat of overfishing in the Gulf of Guinea, this study was initiated on the Ivorian continental shelf to better understand the availability of pelagic species in relation to the prevalence of upwelling.The study is based on the combined analysis of in situ and remote sensing data. Chlorophyll concentration obtained using the SeaWiFS sensor is calculated using the OC4v4 bio-obtical algorithm by applying azimuthal projection using SeaDAS v4.7. Sea surface temperature is obtained using the Multi-channel Sea Surface Temperature (MCSST) algorithm, based on channels 4 and 5 of the AVHRR sensor. The stability of the water column due to wind or turbulence was calculated using wind speed data from ERS I and ERS II. The combined use of satellite images and a Geographic Information System (GIS) makes it possible to define areas suitable for fishing, based on analysis of the environmental factors that contribute to larval retention.

The question of the specificity of the relationship between religion and politics is not an old one, but one that is constantly being renewed. After more than a decade of the Darfur crisis, humanitarian interventions in the 12 Sudanese refugee camps in eastern Chad have begun the transition from relief to development. In this move to empower refugees,Jesuit refugee service(JRS)initiated its Livelihoods program in 2017. This program aims to support the empowerment of schools through income-generating activities (IGAs).Thus, JRSimplemented four projects as part of its program between January 2017 and June 2018at its Iriba base. Of the 16 IGAs resulting from these projects, only 5 were successfully implemented, 2 of which were operating normally during the study period.these results suggest that JRS did not take into account the specificities of each camp when designing its strategy. In order to better understand these difficulties, the study set out to evaluate the program's strategy.

Located in Bassa country in the Department of Nyong-et-Kellé, more precisely in the Centre Cameroun region, oil palm and palm oil have occupied a prominent place here for centuries, long before German and French colonization. Palm oil is one of the most highly-valued agri-food products here. It is produced, processed and marketed by local people for economic, cultural and dietary needs. It has an impact on improving the socio-economic and cultural living conditions of the Bassa people, and also contributes to the development of this rural area. Several palm oil production, extraction and marketing techniques are used. They are characterized by the participation of several players involved in the sales and distribution networks.

To maximize productivity and reduce risks, the applicability of agrometeorological studies has been studied on a planetary scale, where the zoning of agroclimatic risk is opening the field to improve management, decision making, agricultural planning and to support agricultural policies. Knowing the characteristics and peculiarities of each climate and soil, will assist in the choice of culture and decision-making, in the search for higher yields and lower losses. Among the agrometeorological information used in agricultural planning, agroclimatic zoning is the best known. Studies that identify the climate risk for agriculture are essential, since events such as frost, snow, extreme heat, drought, excessive rain, wind and hail can bring great losses to the phenological development of various crops.

This work has as main thematic axis the experience of urban verticalization in Campina Grande / PB, in the period between 1996 and 2012. From this work we see that the process of urban verticalization in Campina Grande is inserted as a symbol of modernity and progress that produces social and environmental impacts on the city and society. In the first issue, the focus was to discuss the social and environmental impacts on the city in other aspects, excluding the discussion about the experiences of workers involved in this verticalization process in Campina Grande who were victims of accidents at work. In this sense, in this second issue you will see a new chapter in this history of urban verticalization in Campina Grande, which brings all the discussion made in the first issue plus a new chapter that discusses the work accidents in construction that were part of this history of urban verticalization of Campina Grande, giving red tones of human blood of workers who daily stain the so-called history of progress.

We have often heard and participated in discussions on whether hypotheses should be considered in all research or whether the concepts of methodology and method tend to be equated. Without pretending to be exhaustive, the reflections that can be made on whether hypotheses should be raised in all research; the reflections that can be made on the meaning of methodology, methods and techniques, and the relationships and confusions that arise in these debates, take on great importance in current research contexts, whatever their topics of interest; especially because in practice there is some resistance to reflect on these concepts, since it does not seem so relevant for the development of a research. These issues are confusing because, by not going deeper into the analysis of these discussions, the propensity to fall into reductionism increases, leading to errors in the approach of concise explanations, related to the way in which we approach the construction of scientific knowledge from the research processes.

Work carried out from the union of two articles that seek to jointly analyse Restorative Justice. The first article deals with the possibility of applying Restorative Justice in cases of Domestic Violence. The second, seeking to analyse the application of Restorative Justice in cases of juvenile violence, from the context of marginalisation and cycle of criminalisation of poverty, from a Marxist analysis. For then, after landing in the context of the Theory of the Fetish of Justice, being raised the elements of replacement of the "Reduction of the Penal Majority" by the application of "Restorative Justice".

This study was conducted with the aim of counting the populations of primates and inventorying the plants and organs on which they feed in the sacred forest of Kikélé in the commune of Bassila in northern Benin. Diurnal and nocturnal primates were counted by the complete count method. Surveys of 60 resource persons and field observations over 90 days were carried out to inventory the plants and organs consumed by primates. The sacred forest of Kikélé is home to three species of primates including a nocturnal species Galago senegalensis (16 individuals) and two diurnal species including Cercopithecus mona (2 individuals) and Colobus vellerosus (28 individuals). 35 plant species have been inventoried as food resources for C. vellerosus, 39 plant species for C. mona and 12 plant species for G. senegalensis. G. senegalensis feeds exclusively on ripe fruits, while the other two species feed mainly on fruits and leaves. Leguminosae and mesophanerophytes were the most represented in the diet.

The objective of this work is to propose cultural exchange programs, through community projects, with different segments of issuing markets for the development of a sustainable cultural tourism.
