Taken in its broadest sense, social protection covers all the measures, systems and benefits designed to reduce the uncertainties of life for a human community, by protecting its beneficiaries against socially identified and individually perceived risks (disability, accident, unemployment, illness, old age and, more recently, loss of autonomy). In this way, it differs from individual self-protection, based on assets, capital income, private insurance or savings. However, the fact that it is collectively organised in no way prejudices its other attributes: since the end of the 19th century, social protection can be private (secular or religious charity and company protection) or public, optional or compulsory, local or national, territorial or sectoral, professional or inter-professional. Health policies seek to extend the benefits of social protection to everyone, as in the case of universal health cover.

Bargny is a peaceful LEBOU village located thirty kilometres from the Dakar region, which remains the ironic victim of its natural development potential: The richness of its limestone mineral subsoil; its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, which is certainly the envy of the local authorities in the interior of the country; its fate of having to house these much-publicised COAL power stations and this MINERAL and VRAQUER port defined as Category 1 Classified Installations classified as Dangerous, Unhealthy and Unsuitable. To anyone who will listen, WE the people of Bargnois deplore the fact that we are always suffering the fate of laboratory guinea pigs. Our city will not be able to withstand this level of carbon monoxide emissions, greenhouse gases and other emissions from two category 1 classified facilities such as Sococim industries and these coal-fired power stations, which are less than 2,000 metres apart. On the basis of environmental and social impact studies (EIES), the greenhouse gas emissions and other emissions expected from these coal-fired power stations are estimated at twice 27% of the rate of 55 national emissions per year in Senegal.

In the monograph performed quite an extensive analysis of the problems of construction of buildings from monolithic concrete, including the prospects for the construction of monolithic buildings in Uzbekistan. The work analyzes the methods of assessing the operational qualities of the external enclosing structures of buildings, in more detail the methods of assessing the thermal properties of the outer walls of residential buildings, special attention is paid to the moisture regime of the walls of buildings made of expanded clay concrete with antifreeze additives in a hot dry climate. The monograph is of interest to engineers and technicians of research, design, construction and installation organizations and firms, as well as undergraduates and applicants for academic degrees in construction specialties.

Breastfeeding is a serious public health problem in DR. Congo. However, here as elsewhere in underdeveloped countries, more than half of infant mortality is associated with nutritional diseases, as well as with various affections that even hinder the proper staturo-weightal development of children. This is why our study aims to improve the overall care of the Lush infant. Specifically, it will determine the average duration of exclusive breastfeeding and the causes of abandonment of this practice in our environment. Our retrospective, descriptive, cross-sectional study will take place at the Jason SENDWE general referral hospital in the maternal and child protection department, on a sample of 100 infants aged between 6 and 9 months, brought for vaccination to the PMI of the Jason Sendwe general referral hospital.

The aims of this book are 1) to show that Argentina's international relations and foreign policy have, contrary to certain preconceived ideas or to a sort of general impression, occupied a prominent place during the government of Néstor Kirchner, 2) to understand Kirchner's desire to relaunch regional integration so as to be able to emancipate itself economically and politically from the stranglehold on Argentina by interests outside the region (in particular North American interests represented by the IMF), 3) to draw a clear distinction between the terms of office of Néstor and Cristina Kirchner in terms of foreign policy, 4) to take stock of Argentina's current situation on the regional and international stage.

This book is a compilation of unpublished articles and other publications, where the role that women have played in the arts, from philosophy to literature, as well as how they have influenced world politics or the thinking of renowned men in history, assuming a role behind the scenes, since we still live in a patriarchal society, is visualised. There are also analyses of the works of award-winning authors from a female perspective, with a critical view of the role that women have always played. Undoubtedly, the author's experience in favour of women's empowerment is reflected in the pages of this text.

The aim of this study was to determine the roles of hospital and dispensary pharmacists in the fight against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Bamako district in 2020 and 2021. Our already fragile healthcare system has been severely shaken by this disease. The study identified the roles that pharmacists can play in the fight against this disease, as well as the difficulties they encounter on a daily basis during their mission. The study focused on pharmacists working in both the public and private sectors, and their main roles were in prevention, screening and disease management. As part of their preventive work, pharmacists not only raised awareness among the population, but also prepared hydroalcoholic solutions for the needs of users and healthcare staff. In addition to these activities, pharmacists felt they could make a contribution to Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) and vaccination activities, among others. It would therefore be useful to reflect on the pharmacist's new missions.

The main objective of this book is to document and discuss, in the light of the geographic science, the transformations in the urban space in the municipality of Imperatriz - MA that occurred in the period 2008-2017, triggered by the implementation of the Suzano Papel & Celulose S/A plant. It was verified from secondary data such as IBGE, RAIS, interviews, cartographic production, the visualization of the reconfiguration of the urban space of the city of Imperatriz to meet the insertion of the factory unit and its industrial logic. The results presented point out that the (re)organization of the urban space of the city has been endowed with an expansion of the urban mesh with the transformation of peripheral areas into new housing spaces, increased real estate speculation and invasions by low-income strata that were negatively affected by the new economic dynamics established.

In this understanding of the frailty of the elderly, the importance of nursing care lies, as a tool to gain their trust, relieving their fears and anxiety by providing humanized and quality care. Thus aiming to analyze the nursing care for elderly patients affected by femur fracture, performed by nurses of a reference hospital in traumatology in the city of João Pessoa / PB.

The local curriculum is a comprehensive form of education, through a pedagogical process which is participatory and relevant, seeking to create in the student an awareness of the problems which are of general concern to the community around him as well as to other places. In this sense, the participation of the community is fundamental, as it can define what it would like its children to learn. In fact, the local curriculum is a way of learning aspects of a given community, with the participation of parents and guardians in the planning of school contents. This content brings together various local knowledge which makes the pupil skilful and competent. It is clear that creativity and intellectual abilities do not only serve the contents learned in school or in the classroom but also those transmitted by the community.

The use of specific strategies for teaching-learning in CPR, classroom training or distance learning has proven to be effective to obtain knowledge and to develop cognitive and motor skills for cardiac arrest care. It is expected that this book will be an incentive for the multiplication of knowledge on CPR care for both professionals and students in the health area and the general population, because the immediate and correct performance of CPR maneuvers increases the possibility of survival of the victim.

The present study aims to understand the succession process in a family business, from a psychoanalytical perspective, from the paternal function, as a regulator of symbolic references in culture. The company studied is Retificadora Desordi Ltda., located in the northwest region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, in the period between 1950-2007. In a general manner, this study interprets this succession process, evidencing which were the strategic periods that propitiated developments in the paternal function and in the succession process, how they were developed and which factors determined such developments. In terms of the methodology employed, this is a unique case study, framed within the characteristics of the qualitative approach (TRIVINOS, 1987) and contextualist (PETTIGREW, 1992). The longitudinal and historical mode of analysis was also used, by adopting the direct review procedures (MINTZBERG, 1985), as well as a psychoanalytical stance of the social bond, especially Lacan's four discourses (1992).

This book has its origins in a working document prepared by students at the École de l'Air, which trains all officers in the French Air Force. Its aim was to prepare them to be leaders. Naturally, it was conceivable to write THE good officer's handbook, to give them certainty and dispel their concerns. However, it is unlikely that THE manual would be the right answer. Because it would clearly not be the result of a scientific protocol establishing the general theory of command. It therefore seemed appropriate to compile a collection of personal accounts and documents on the act of command and the personality of the military leader. Because of its diversity - testimonies, reflections, legal standards, technical data - such a collection prevents the reader from learning recipes composed by someone else, probably in a position of hierarchical superiority. But the students at the Air Force Academy are not the only ones concerned; other military personnel and, no doubt, many civilians in positions of authority, may be interested in this concept, hence the idea of producing a book from this working document.

Cuban pedagogy is based on a long history and requires the need to discover transversal ideas from the past to the present and from the present to the future, without necessarily prioritising historicism and from a new interpretation of pedagogical thought. The author values the place of its precursors and followers in Cuban pedagogical thought, and contextualises it in the process of professional pedagogical training.

The agricultural diagnosis of the commune of Kétou has shown that it has enormous potential and agro-ecological assets, favourable to agriculture. However, one of the main crops grown in the area, cotton, has the lowest yields. This study has identified the real problems facing the cotton sector in the commune and the strategies that need to be implemented to improve production while achieving good yields over large areas. The development of the sector at national level was also addressed.

Cardiovascular damage during HIV infection is frequent and often serious. The aim of this study at C.U.K. is to analyse cardiovascular damage in HIV-infected patients hospitalised in the cardiology department. It is a retrospective study of the records of patients consecutively hospitalised in the Cardiology and Infectious Diseases Department between January 2008 and January 2013. Inclusion criteria were progressive acquired cardiovascular disease, positive HIV serology and no previous history or other cardiovascular pathology. The parameters studied were sex, age, marital status, province of origin, and clinical and para-clinical data. Our sample comprised 54 patients, 30 men (55.6%) and 24 women (44.4%), with a sex ratio of 1.25 in favour of men. The mean age was 42.5 ± 12.1 years, with extremes of 18 and 67 years. The clinical picture was dominated by heart failure (55.6% of cases) and pericarditis (22.2%).

COVID-19 is a human-to-human transmission virosis, and in view of the increasing number of cases, home management was adopted as an alternative. The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of home care. It was a cross-sectional study nested in an open cohort of 1109 patients. Patients were followed up in hospital and/or at home until two consecutive negative PCR tests 48 hours apart. Males and patients aged between 20 and 40 years were most commonly represented. At the end of the study, 81.2% (900/1109) of patients were cured, 1.3% (14/1109) were transferred to another healthcare facility and 2.5% (28/1109) died. No significant difference was observed between the median duration of remission of patients at home (95% CI, 9.69-10.31) and those managed in hospital (10 days) in (95% CI, 9.76-10.24) (Log-Rank test, p= 0.066). These results suggest that place of care and gender do not influence remission time, and that home care is effective despite the shortcomings of the information system linking doctor and patient.

Lake Edouard, located in the Virunga National Park, has gone through three periods since its existence: the renaissance period, the stalemate period (period of war and/or rebellion) and the rehabilitation period. During the rehabilitation period, the park remained occupied by several armed groups: coupeurs des routes, mai mai, FDLR, etc. Oil exploitation in Virunga National Park was divided by the DRC government into 5 blocks entrusted, since 2009, to various companies: Total, ENI, Shel and SOCO (UK). Exploitation permits covered 58% of the park's surface area, even though Congolese law prohibits exploitation of any kind in Virunga. Lake Edouard was home to 29,500 hippos and 28 species of amphibians, and was the richest lake in Africa and the DRC. At present, these species are tending to disappear as a result of various human activities on the lake. Because of the DRC's negative externalities, this exploitation is causing an oil spill and is at the root of the water war, as Lake Edward is the source of the White Nile and the Blue Nile, which flow into the Mediterranean.

This textbook on the discipline "Computer Organization" is designed to study computer architectures, which are the basis of information and communication technologies, and how they are organized by the structure and operation of computers and processors, the types of storage devices, means of data input and output to the computer, and including the knowledge and skills to be transferred to students on topics related to the joint operation of devices. This textbook is intended for students in all undergraduate courses at TUIT Muhammad al-Kharasmiyeh and consists of an introduction, 4 chapters, a conclusion, and the references used.

A diagnosis of fruit growing was carried out in the commune of Arcahaie in order to highlight its general situation. The study method was based on exploratory surveys of all localities in the commune, followed by in-depth surveys of producers and traders. After having surveyed a total of 837 fruit growers in all communal sections and localities, a total of 72 were selected, including 24 large, 24 medium and 24 small growers spread over 3 fruit-growing zones: irrigated plain, semi-arid mountain and cool, wet mountain. This work shows that there are around twenty (22) fruit species in the zone. The population of the most important species is estimated at 55716 trees, including 19692 mango trees, 8769 citrus trees, 8657 coconut trees, 6485 real trees, 3439 anonaceous trees, 2103 quenêpiers and 331 guava trees. More than 78% of the total population is concentrated on the plain.

Every child has the right to a name and a nationality, as stipulated in the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). Birth registration is a sure way of guaranteeing this fundamental right. Yet in Cameroon, 33.9% of children under the age of five are not registered. The regions of, Far North, South West, East, and North have the highest levels of non-registration, which are 57.9%; 44.4%; 41.8% and 39.1% respectively (MICS, 2014). With the aim of improving the state of knowledge of the explanatory factors of non-registration of births at the civil registry in these regions, the main objective of our work is to identify and prioritize the explanatory factors of non-registration of children aged 3 to 59 months in the East, Far North, North and South-West regions of Cameroon. To achieve this objective, data from the fifth Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey conducted in Cameroon in 2014 were used. Methodologically, descriptive analysis (chi-square test) and explanatory analysis (binomial logistic regression) were used.

It shows that Big Data is a godsend for digital companies, which can use it to gather a maximum amount of information about their consumers in order to provide them with a unique, ultra-personalized experience. Such an experience encourages loyalty and consumption. This phenomenon is set to intensify, particularly with the arrival of artificial intelligence, which promises even faster data collection and processing.

Human embryogenesis corresponds to the development of the individual from fertilization to the eighth week. Fertilization is the meeting of the spermatozoon and oocyte II in the outer third of the fallopian tube, the penetration of the spermatozoon into oocyte II and the fusion of the nuclei of the spermatozoon and oocyte. Once fertilization has taken place, the individual becomes a zygote (fertilized egg or ovum), and begins its development thanks to genetic and epigenetic factors. In the first week of life, migration and segmentation to the blastocyst stage take place. The second week sees nidation, decidualization and peer events. The third week sees gastrulation and the formation of embryos. From the fourth to the eighth week, definitive adnexal formation and delimitation. The fertilized egg may divide to give two individuals that are identical twins, or polyovulate to give fraternal twins. During this period, the individual is called an embryo and is highly vulnerable to teratogenic factors.

The monograph examines the main directions of the Society for the Study of the Kyrgyz (Kazakh) region, organized in the 20s of XX century for historical archeological, natural-geographical, ethnographic and economic research. Activity of the Society for the Study of the Kazakh land, covers a wide range of works of its branches, scientific commissions, museums and research studies. The special role of the scientific society in creation and functioning of museums, libraries and liaison with committee of national education, scientific institutions of the soviet state is underlined.

In my work as a special needs teacher, I work with students with learning difficulties for 1 or 2 hours a week. The majority of the students I work with show a lack of motivation towards school work and a lack of a global vision of learning. Students with learning delays frequently display specific cognitive characteristics, such as a poorly organized knowledge base, difficulties with organization, transfer and generalization, and weak associative functions1. So, I asked myself the following questions: how can we support the student effectively? What should I prioritize, given the limited time available for my intervention? How could I convey to the student a sense of pleasure and of schoolwork? So I decided to look for answers in neuroscience, neuropsychology and neuropedagogy3. Without falling into the educational illusion that neuroscience can explain and guide everything, it must be said that it does provide a scientific and up-to-date basis for teaching that is likely to enlighten practice.

The Democratic Republic of Congo, this post-conflict country-continent, is a land of hope for investment in various sectors, thanks to its enormous potential. The data contained in this book, which we researched in 2016, provides an overview of what has been done so far, and shows what remains to be done, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy and tourism. So we've taken it upon ourselves to make this short presentation for investors, because at the end of the day, everyone stands to gain (investors, the State and, above all, the population).

The dense forests of the Congo Basin are considered a "hotspot" of global biodiversity, due to their supposedly "primary" character. Yet these forests remain among the most poorly understood in the world and, at the same time, among the most threatened. These threats affect not only the forests themselves and the species they contain, but also the indigenous societies (mainly Pygmies) and their traditional knowledge. Against this backdrop, we have set up a research project to gain a better understanding of human-forest relations and their consequences for plant biodiversity, on an ecosystem scale, in an area of dense semi-deciduous forest in the Central African Republic.

In sub-Saharan Africa, where rural poultry farming still accounts for a significant proportion of the national economy and contributes around 60% of animal protein consumption in certain countries, it is becoming imperative to combine chicken farming with other poultry species that are less demanding in terms of both food and health, and whose production could effectively remedy the lack of animal protein requirements, as identified by the FAO. Quail has been attracting interest from African populations in recent years. Low production costs, resistance to disease, rapid growth, high egg production (up to 350 eggs per female per year) and the therapeutic properties of these eggs are all factors that have encouraged the expansion of this type of farming. However, the fundamentals of this unconventional breeding method have not yet been mastered in Africa. In view of their rapid growth, quails' protein requirements during the growth phase are higher than those of hens. Hence the need to assess these requirements for the growth phase, and to assess their impact on reproduction parameters.

The aim of this book is to draw the attention of researchers in Economics to exploring the field of game theory in the analysis of economic phenomena. We explore cooperative and non-cooperative game theory. We then developed the notions of bargaining games in interactions between economic agents. Cooperative game theory based on collective rationality concerns Shapley value and nucleolus. As for bargaining games, we have developed Nash arbitrage, egalitarian arbitrage and Kalai-Smorodinsky arbitrage games.
